Acts
Chapter 12 1 1 About that time King Herod laid hands upon some members of the church to harm them. 2 He had James, the brother of John, 2 killed by the sword, 3 3 and when he saw that this was pleasing to the Jews he proceeded to arrest Peter also. (It was (the) feast of Unleavened Bread.) 4 He had him taken into custody and put in prison under the guard of four squads of four soldiers each. He intended to bring him before the people after Passover. 5 Peter thus was being kept in prison, but prayer by the church was fervently being made to God on his behalf. 6 On the very night before Herod was to bring him to trial, Peter, secured by double chains, was sleeping between two soldiers, while outside the door guards kept watch on the prison. 7 Suddenly the angel of the Lord stood by him and a light shone in the cell. He tapped Peter on the side and awakened him, saying, "Get up quickly." The chains fell from his wrists. 8 The angel said to him, "Put on your belt and your sandals." He did so. Then he said to him, "Put on your cloak and follow me." 9 So he followed him out, not realizing that what was happening through the angel was real; he thought he was seeing a vision. 10 They passed the first guard, then the second, and came to the iron gate leading out to the city, which opened for them by itself. They emerged and made their way down an alley, and suddenly the angel left him. 11 Then Peter recovered his senses and said, "Now I know for certain that (the) Lord sent his angel and rescued me from the hand of Herod and from all that the Jewish people had been expecting."

Chapter 4 6 1 For I am already being poured out like a libation, and the time of my departure is at hand. 7 2 I have competed well; I have finished the race; I have kept the faith. 8 3 From now on the crown of righteousness awaits me, which the Lord, the just judge, will award to me on that day, and not only to me, but to all who have longed for his appearance. 17 But the Lord stood by me and gave me strength, so that through me the proclamation might be completed and all the Gentiles might hear it. And I was rescued from the lion's mouth. 18 The Lord will rescue me from every evil threat and will bring me safe to his heavenly kingdom. To him be glory forever and ever. Amen.
Matthew
Chapter 16 13 1 When Jesus went into the region of Caesarea Philippi 2 he asked his disciples, "Who do people say that the Son of Man is?" 14 They replied, "Some say John the Baptist, 3 others Elijah, still others Jeremiah or one of the prophets." 15 He said to them, "But who do you say that I am?" 16 4 Simon Peter said in reply, "You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God." 17 Jesus said to him in reply, "Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah. For flesh and blood 5 has not revealed this to you, but my heavenly Father. 18 And so I say to you, you are Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church, 6 and the gates of the netherworld shall not prevail against it. 19 I will give you the keys to the kingdom of heaven. 7 Whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven; and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven."

Catholic Fundamentalism Interpretation:
The political establishment, to curry favor with the establishment that locked themselves into The Programmer's Old Programming Log, began to harass and kill those who followed The Program (Jesus Christ, The Living Program who'd taken human form) and the New Programming Log. When politicians saw that they gained favor by this, Herod arrested their leader, Peter, the First Pope on the Feast of Unleavened Bread. He had him guarded around the clock by four men on each watch. He was going to present him to the people after Passover, when they were probably going to be orchestrated to demand his crucifixion. Those who believed in The Program prayed fervently for him. As a result, before trial, a powerful angelic sub-programmer came to him in his cell. He de-programmed the binding power of the state, and Peter was set free of his chains, and taken right past the two sets of guards and through the iron gate, which, itself, obeyed the angel's programming command by opening itself. After they were outside, the angel left him. Peter recovered his senses, and said, "Now, I know for certain that The Programmer sent this angel to rescue me from Herod and from all that the Jewish people had been waiting for."
Paul explains that he is already being poured out like a drink, and the run time with which he's been programmed is about over. He has vied well with the forces of evil, and has finished the race without falling into sin, maintaining obedience. The Lord, the perfect judge, will give him the crown of righteousness on Judgment Day, as well as giving it to all who have longed for His appearance. (There's hope for us!) The Programmer faithfully provided programming assistance so that through me, necessary knowledge of The New Download could be given to all the Gentiles. And, I was rescued from being swallowed by the Great Virus. The Programmer will continue to save me from every virus, and will upload me into His presence. To Him be glory forever. So be it.
Jesus, The Program in perfect living, loving, human form, asked His disciples, "Who do people say that I am?" They answered, "Some say you are John the Baptist, others, Elijah, others say you are Jeremiah or one of the Prophets."
He asked, "Who do you say that I am?" Simon Peter replied, "You are the Messiah, the Son of the Living God."
Jesus said, "Blessed are you, Simon, son of Johah. For no human source told you, but My Father, The Programmer. So, I say to you, you are Peter, and you will provide, by your life, the programming necessary to support My Church. (The Roman Catholic Church), and all the forces of The Virus will not corrupt it. I will give you the access code to Heaven. Whomever you authorize on earth shall be given access to Heaven. Whoever you reject on earth will not have the access code to Heaven." |
