Acts
Chapter 6 1 1 At that time, as the number of disciples continued to grow, the Hellenists complained against the Hebrews because their widows were being neglected in the daily distribution. 2 2 So the Twelve called together the community of the disciples and said, "It is not right for us to neglect the word of God to serve at table. 3 3 Brothers, select from among you seven reputable men, filled with the Spirit and wisdom, whom we shall appoint to this task, 4 whereas we shall devote ourselves to prayer and to the ministry of the word." 5 The proposal was acceptable to the whole community, so they chose Stephen, a man filled with faith and the holy Spirit, also Philip, Prochorus, Nicanor, Timon, Parmenas, and Nicholas of Antioch, a convert to Judaism. 6 They presented these men to the apostles who prayed and laid hands on them. 4 7 The word of God continued to spread, and the number of the disciples in Jerusalem increased greatly; even a large group of priests were becoming obedient to the faith.
1 Peter
Chapter 2 4 Come to him, a living stone, 1 rejected by human beings but chosen and precious in the sight of God, 5 and, like living stones, let yourselves be built 2 into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. 6 For it says in scripture: "Behold, I am laying a stone in Zion, a cornerstone, chosen and precious, and whoever believes in it shall not be put to shame." 7 Therefore, its value is for you who have faith, but for those without faith: "The stone which the builders rejected has become the cornerstone," 8 and "A stone that will make people stumble, and a rock that will make them fall." They stumble by disobeying the word, as is their destiny. 9 3 But you are "a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people of his own, so that you may announce the praises" of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.
John
Chapter 14 1 1 2 "Do not let your hearts be troubled. You have faith in God; have faith also in me. 2 In my Father's house there are many dwelling places. If there were not, would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you? 3 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back again and take you to myself, so that where I am you also may be. 4 Where (I) am going you know the way." 4 5 Thomas said to him, "Master, we do not know where you are going; how can we know the way?" 6 Jesus said to him, "I am the way and the truth 5 and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. 7 If you know me, then you will also know my Father. 6 From now on you do know him and have seen him." 8 Philip said to him, "Master, show us the Father, 7 and that will be enough for us." 9 Jesus said to him, "Have I been with you for so long a time and you still do not know me, Philip? Whoever has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, 'Show us the Father'? 10 Do you not believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me? The words that I speak to you I do not speak on my own. The Father who dwells in me is doing his works. 11 Believe me that I am in the Father and the Father is in me, or else, believe because of the works themselves. 12 Amen, amen, I say to you, whoever believes in me will do the works that I do, and will do greater ones than these, because I am going to the Father.

Catholic Fundamentalism Interpretation:
As the number of those who downloaded The Program increased, those with different operating systems began to argue about the distribution of programmed entities.
The Senior Downloaders called all who had received The Holy Download and told them "We have a higher concern, studying The Programmer, Program, and Holy Wireless Connector. Human problems should be solved at the lowest possible level.
(this is the beginning of the Doctrine of Subsidiarity)
The best way to do that is for you to choose those who can best solve the problem with the help of the Holy Wireless connector and their own wisdom. We'll give authority to whom you select and get back to our jobs." Their fellow downloaders thought that was a good ida, and chose seven men, one of whom had downloaded the Old Programming System. The Original Downloaders prayed and transmitted power through The Holy Wireless Connector to them. Their system worked because more people downloaded the New Operating System, even some who'd worked professionally for a long time with the Old.
Accept The Program. The Program, in perfect, loving, human form, was rejected by people, but chosen and precious to The Programmer. Like living stones, let yourselves be incorporated into a spiritual house to be holy assistants in future downloads acceptable to The Programmer through The Program. For it says in the Old Programming Log, "Behold, I am programming a building block in Zion, an incredibly important building block on which a structure will be built, and whoever believes in it shall not be put to shame." So, its value is for you who believe in the New Programming Log. To those who don't believe, the Old Programming Log says "The stone which the builders rejected has become the cornerstone (of the new Church)." They fall because they disobey His word, which is their destiny. But you are "a chosen race, a holy nation, a people of His own, so that you may tell people the truth that you have accessed, (you have been given access to The Source Code) and give praises to "Him who gave you access to The Program".
"Don't worry about less important things. You believe in The Programmer, so believe in The Program, as well. My Father, The Programmer, has many places for you in His house. If there weren't, would I have lied to you about going to prepare a place for you? And, if I make a place for you, I'll come back and take you to Myself, so what where I am, you may be. Where I'm going, you know how to follow."
Thomas said, "Lord, we don't know where you're going. How can we know how to get there?" Jesus answered, "I am The Program, in perfect, loving, human form. So, I am the way and the truth and the life. No one can get to The Programmer without going through Me, The Program.
"If you know The Program, you know The Programmer who brought me into being. From now on, you know Him and have seen Him." (You have accessed and downloaded part of The Source Code).
Philip said, "Master, show us The Programmer and that will be enough for us." Jesus answered, "Have I been with you for so long a time and you still don't know me, Philip? Those who've seen me have seen He Who brought me into being. How can you say "Show us the Programmer? Don't you believe that The Program is in The Programmer and that The Programmer is in The Program? I don't speak these words to you on My own. The Programmer who dwells in me is doing His works through Me. Believe what I'm telling you because I am in The Programmer and The Programmer is in me, or else, believe because of what We've actually done. Whoever believes in The Program will do the works that I do, and will do greater ones than these, because I, The Program in perfect, loving, human form am going to The Programmer." |
