Acts
Chapter 2 14 1 Then Peter stood up with the Eleven, raised his voice, and proclaimed to them, "You who are Jews, indeed all of you staying in Jerusalem. Let this be known to you, and listen to my words. 36 Therefore let the whole house of Israel know for certain that God has made him both Lord and Messiah, this Jesus whom you crucified." 37 Now when they heard this, they were cut to the heart, and they asked Peter and the other apostles, "What are we to do, my brothers?" 38 Peter (said) to them, "Repent and be baptized, 2 every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you will receive the gift of the holy Spirit. 39 For the promise is made to you and to your children and to all those far off, whomever the Lord our God will call." 40 He testified with many other arguments, and was exhorting them, "Save yourselves from this corrupt generation." 41 Those who accepted his message were baptized, and about three thousand persons were added that day.

1 Peter
Chapter 2 20 But what credit is there if you are patient when beaten for doing wrong? But if you are patient when you suffer for doing what is good, this is a grace before God. 21 For to this you have been called, because Christ also suffered 1 for you, leaving you an example that you should follow in his footsteps. 22 "He committed no sin, and no deceit was found in his mouth." 2 23 When he was insulted, he returned no insult; when he suffered, he did not threaten; instead, he handed himself over to the one who judges justly. 24 He himself bore our sins in his body upon the cross, so that, free from sin, we might live for righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed. 25 For you had gone astray like sheep, but you have now returned to the shepherd and guardian of your souls. 3

John
Chapter 10 1 1 2 "Amen, amen, I say to you, whoever does not enter a sheepfold through the gate but climbs over elsewhere is a thief and a robber. 2 But whoever enters through the gate is the shepherd of the sheep. 3 The gatekeeper opens it for him, and the sheep hear his voice, as he calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. 4 3 When he has driven out all his own, he walks ahead of them, and the sheep follow him, because they recognize his voice. 5 But they will not follow a stranger; they will run away from him, because they do not recognize the voice of strangers." 6 Although Jesus used this figure of speech, 4 they did not realize what he was trying to tell them. 7 5 So Jesus said again, "Amen, amen, I say to you, I am the gate for the sheep. 8 6 All who came [before me] are thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not listen to them. 9 I am the gate. Whoever enters through me will be saved, and will come in and go out and find pasture. 10 A thief comes only to steal and slaughter and destroy; I came so that they might have life and have it more abundantly.

Catholic Fundamentalism Interpretation:

Peter, standing with the Apostles, told people, 'Both Jews and those descended from the other 11 Tribes of Israel must know for certain that The Loving Programmer of all has made The Program (Jesus Christ, in perfect, loving, human form) both Lord and Messiah, (personifying past, present, and future truth), this Jesus whom you crucified."

When they heard this, they realized it was true, and asked Peter and the others, "What should we do?"

Peter told them, "Be sorry for your failure to obey The Operating Instructions, and erase those failures with the Sacrament (drawing nearer to The Programmer) of Baptism.  If you sincerely ask your errors to be forgiven, in the name of The Living, Loving, Human Program, The Holy Wireless Connector will allow you to connect directly with The Programmer, Program, and all spiritual entities.  This closeness to God is the promise to those who listen to The Programmer's call."

He explained many things about the importance of aligning one's actions with The Programming Instructions, and told them, "Save your souls from the corruption around you."  Those who believed him were baptized (and repented) and downloaded the New Operating Instructions.

What do you gain if you are punished for doing wrong?  Instead, recognize basic justice, and go beyond.  In The New Operating Instructions, you get closer to The Programmer for suffering for doing good.

That's what you've been called to do, because that's what The Program, (Who became flesh and dwelt among us) did, He suffered for you to set an example you should follow.  "He neither sinned nor told lies."  When He was insulted, He did not insult back, and He did not threaten those who hurt Him, instead He gave Himself over to the will of The Loving Programmer who judges with (true) justice.  He sacrificed His Body upon the cross, thereby taking our willful errors upon Himself.  That freed us from the punishment and guilt of our errors and let us live according to The New Operating Instructions.  His wounds healed us.  You had gone astray like sheep (without a shepherd), but you have returned to obey your (true) Shepherd and guardian of your souls."

"The real owner of souls can claim them directly.  He doesn't have to sneak around, but tells the truth boldly.

The mind will open when the soul hears its shepherd, and He will call His own souls (those attuned and obedient to His Operating Instructions) by name, and leads them out (of the errors and everlasting punishment that awaits the willfully disobedient).  When He has driven His own out of sin and worldly concerns, (His) sheep will follow because they resonate to His Operating Instructions.  But, they won't follow an untruthful person because they don't recognize the authority of destructive operating instructions."

Then, Jesus, The Programmer's beloved Program in loving, human form, said another time, "I am not just the shepherd that guides the sheep, but I am the gate through which those sheep whose souls will go to Heaven must pass.  Those who came before me were thieves and robbers, but the souls who would be saved ignored them.  I am the actual gate, and who enters through Me will get to Heaven and find sustenance.  A thief comes only to steal and kill.  I came so that My sheep might have life, and have it more abundantly (by accessing The Programmer and Program through the Holy Wireless Connector).
