Weekly Readings with Catholic Fundamentalist Interpretation

Isaiah
Chapter 8 23 First he degraded the land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali; 1 but in the end he has glorified the seaward road, the land West of the Jordan, the District of the Gentiles. Anguish has taken wing, dispelled is darkness; for there is no gloom where but now there was distress. Chapter 9 1 The people who walked in darkness have seen a great light; Upon those who dwelt in the land of gloom a light has shone. 2 You have brought them abundant joy and great rejoicing, As they rejoice before you as at the harvest, as men make merry when dividing spoils. 3 For the yoke that burdened them, the pole on their shoulder, And the rod of their taskmaster you have smashed, as on the day of Midian.

Second Reading:

1 Corinthians
Chapter 1 10 1 I urge you, brothers, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree in what you say, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be united in the same mind and in the same purpose. 11 For it has been reported to me about you, my brothers, by Chloe's people, that there are rivalries among you. 12 I mean that each of you is saying, "I belong to 2 Paul," or "I belong to Apollos," or "I belong to Kephas," or "I belong to Christ." 13 3 Is Christ divided? Was Paul crucified for you? Or were you baptized in the name of Paul? 17 4 5 For Christ did not send me to baptize but to preach the gospel, and not with the wisdom of human eloquence, so that the cross of Christ might not be emptied of its meaning.

Third Reading:

Matthew
Chapter 4 12 1 When he heard that John had been arrested, he withdrew to Galilee. 13 He left Nazareth and went to live in Capernaum by the sea, in the region of Zebulun and Naphtali, 14 that what had been said through Isaiah the prophet might be fulfilled: 15 "Land of Zebulun and land of Naphtali, the way to the sea, beyond the Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles, 16 the people who sit in darkness have seen a great light, on those dwelling in a land overshadowed by death light has arisen." 17 2 From that time on, Jesus began to preach and say, "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand." 18 3 As he was walking by the Sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers, Simon who is called Peter, and his brother Andrew, casting a net into the sea; they were fishermen. 19 He said to them, "Come after me, and I will make you fishers of men." 20 4 At once they left their nets and followed him. 21 He walked along from there and saw two other brothers, James, the son of Zebedee, and his brother John. They were in a boat, with their father Zebedee, mending their nets. He called them, 22 and immediately they left their boat and their father and followed him. 23 5 He went around all of Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, 6 proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom, and curing every disease and illness among the people.

Catholic Fundamentalism Interpretation:

First, The Programmer erased the errors in Zebulon and Naphtali, but He chose to reprogram the western areas, including the District of the non-Jews.  Programming errors were erased and the free-will programs could access The Program.  His new Programming overwrote anguish and darkness.   The free-will creatures who were blind to the Light of His Programming have seen a brilliant re-writing; those whose minds were sunk in gloom can see clearly with the light He has programmed.  Your new Program has brought them joy, as they rejoice before you as at the gathering of riches.  For the yoke that held them in slavery, the overseer's ship, and the ability of their (earthly) taskmasters to hurt them, You have erased, as on the day of Midian.

I urge you, fellow-downloaders of The Program, in the name of The Program (Jesus Christ is The Program, in perfect, loving, human form) that you all stop considering the different programs, but that you unite in the One Mind of The One Program.

I've heard that some people are dividing you into sects, saying "I belong to Paul" or "I belong to Apollos", or Peter, or, to Christ.  (The seeds of Protestantism).

Is The Program divided?  Was one of those to whom you pledge allegiance crucified for you?  Were you baptized in human names?  Christ did not send me to wash (take) away your sins, but to tell about He Who did.  Human eloquence is nothing compared to the meaning of the Cross of Christ, (upon which The Program was painfully killed for you.)

When The Program heard that John had been arrested, He withdrew to Galilee.  He left Nazareth and went to Capernaum by the sea, near Zebulun and Naphtali that what Isaiah (who was given access to future downloads) might be fulfilled:  "Land of Zebulun and land of Naphtali, the way to the sea, beyond the Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles, the people who sit in darkness have seen a great light, on those dwelling in a land ruled by death, light has risen."

From then on, The Program began to tell them, "Be sorry for your errors, for The Kingdom of The Programmer is near."  As He was walking by the Sea of Galilee, He saw two brothers, Simon, called Peter, and his brother Andrew, trying to make a living by catching fish.  He said to them, "Come after Me, and I will give you the power to re-program men's CPUs.  At once, they left their worldly concerns and followed Him.  Then, he saw two other brothers, James, son of Zebedee and his brother, John.  They also made a living by fishing, (Did any of the disciples make a living by farming?) and were in a boat, with their father, mending their nets before going out to make money.  He called them, and they immediately left their livelihood and their earthly father and followed Him.  He went to synagogues and told people about the New Programming, and, while He did so, He erases all sorts of errors and error messages from human minds and bodies.
