The Book of Wisdom
Chapter 9 13 For what man knows God's counsel, or who can conceive what our LORD intends? 14 For the deliberations of mortals are timid, and unsure are our plans. 15 For the corruptible body burdens the soul and the earthen shelter weighs down the mind that has many concerns. 16 And scarce do we guess the things on earth, and what is within our grasp we find with difficulty; but when things are in heaven, who can search them out? 17 Or who ever knew your counsel, except you had given Wisdom and sent your holy spirit from on high? 18 And thus were the paths of those on earth made straight, and men learned what was your pleasure, and were saved by Wisdom. |

Catholic Fundamentalism Interpretation
Which of us free-will programs know what The Programmer is thinking, or knows the reason for His Programming? Our ability to analyze programs is limited by our fears, so our plans are unsure. Our awareness of The Programmer is limited by the concerns of our CPU housing, which we think needs more than it does. We can barely grasp the programmed entities around us, and it's hard to understand what little we can. So, The Programmer and His spiritual programs are even more difficult to find. Or, whoever knew Your Programs unless You first gave us Wisdom (program knowledge) and sent The Holy Wireless Connector from above. That's how we on earth learned about you and were saved by that program knowledge. |
Reading II
Philemon
9 I rather urge you out of love, being as I am, Paul, an old man, 1 and now also a prisoner for Christ Jesus. 10 I urge you on behalf of my child Onesimus, whose father I have become in my imprisonment, 12 I am sending him, that is, my own heart, back to you. 13 I should have liked to retain him for myself, so that he might serve 2 me on your behalf in my imprisonment for the gospel, 14 but I did not want to do anything without your consent, so that the good you do might not be forced but voluntary. 15 Perhaps this is why he was away from 3 you for a while, that you might have him back forever, 16 no longer as a slave but more than a slave, a brother, beloved especially to me, but even more so to you, as a man 4 and in the Lord. 17 So if you regard me as a partner, welcome him as you would me.

Interpretation
Please, set Philemon free. He has willingly accepted the Re-Programming necessary to save his soul, and has helped me to Re-Program others (according to the Wisdom of The Holy Wireless Connector). He has downloaded The Program so well that now, he is the heart of my being. But, you own him, so I'm sending him back to you, though I'd rather he would stay to serve me, which would help you (earn approval from The Programmer). But, I didn't want to keep your property without your permission so that the good you do might be of your own free will. This may be why he was away from you for a time, that you might have him back forever, not as your slave, but more than that, a Sharer of The Program, whom I especially love, but even more to you as a brother in The Program. So, if you regard me as a partner (this is sort of a business approach, "make a good investment in your soul's future", spoken like the businessman Paul had been) welcome him as you would me. (As a free man who loves you and shares The Program with you).

Gospel
Luke
Chapter 14 25 1 Great crowds were traveling with him, and he turned and addressed them, 26 "If any one comes to me without hating his father 2 and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters, and even his own life, he cannot be my disciple. 27 Whoever does not carry his own cross and come after me cannot be my disciple. 28 Which of you wishing to construct a tower does not first sit down and calculate the cost to see if there is enough for its completion? 29 Otherwise, after laying the foundation and finding himself unable to finish the work the onlookers should laugh at him 30 and say, 'This one began to build but did not have the resources to finish.' 31 Or what king marching into battle would not first sit down and decide whether with ten thousand troops he can successfully oppose another king advancing upon him with twenty thousand troops? 32 But if not, while he is still far away, he will send a delegation to ask for peace terms. 33 In the same way, everyone of you who does not renounce all his possessions cannot be my disciple.

Interpretation
Huge crowds were traveling with Him, and The Program (Jesus Christ, The Program in loving, perfect, human form) turned (toward them, to facilitate His download) and said, "If any of you free-will programs comes to me without seeing how unworthy the human program is, even those who brought you into existance, and don't hate that unworthiness, he can't be My disciple. Whoever does not despise the lesser programs enough to let them destroy him can't be My disciple. (Be careful before you follow me:) You wouldn't build an impressive building without making sure you could afford it, to avoid having people laugh at you for your failure. And, (implied) even if you were an earthly king, (who, but Christ, would urge people to compare themselves with earthly kings to show the commonality of man?) you wouldn't march into battle without deciding whether or not you have a reasonable chance of victory. But, if you decide you may not be victorious, you will sue for peace before the battle (while the other king still has doubts about his own victory). In the same way, if you don't (show the same willingness to) give up all your programmed entities, you can't truly follow me. (May be able to renounce their importance while still keeping them to go about our earthly business. And, if there is a heavier demand on the clergy, poverty, celibacy, and obedience add to the evidence of The Roman Catholic Church.
