Ecclesiastes
Chapter 1 2 1 Vanity of vanities, says Qoheleth, vanity of vanities! All things are vanity! Chapter 2 21 For here is a man who has labored with wisdom and knowledge and skill, and to another, who has not labored over it, he must leave his property. This also is vanity and a great misfortune. 22 For what profit comes to a man from all the toil and anxiety of heart with which he has labored under the sun? 23 All his days sorrow and grief are his occupation; even at night his mind is not at rest. This also is vanity.

Catholic Fundamentalism Interpretation

The teacher (Solomon?) says that all things are vanity.  Human work, generally extolled, is vanity, as well.  Those who work the hardest and best end up leaving it all to someone who never worked for it.  (This includes, of course, that taken by inheritance taxes.)  This, also, is vanity, and a great misfortune.  (Getting something for nothing helps no one.)

What does a man gain with his human programming?  Just a lot of sorrow and worry. Even tossing and turning at night fretting and worrying about one's own programming efforts is a form of vanity.

Reading II
Colossians
Chapter 3 1 1 If then you were raised with Christ, seek what is above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God. 2 Think of what is above, not of what is on earth. 3 For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. 4 When Christ your life appears, then you too will appear with him in glory. 5 2 Put to death, then, the parts of you that are earthly: immorality, impurity, passion, evil desire, and the greed that is idolatry. 3 9 Stop lying to one another, since you have taken off the old self with its practices 10 4 and have put on the new self, which is being renewed, for knowledge, in the image of its creator. 11 Here there is not Greek and Jew, circumcision and uncircumcision, barbarian, Scythian, 5 slave, free; but Christ is all and in all.

If you have downloaded the New Program, seek The Programmer, where The Program, in perfect, loving, human form is seated at His right hand.  Think of that, not of the lesser, earthly programs.  For you have died (to the lesser programs) and your life is hidden in The Program within The Programmer.  When The Program (your new life) appears, then you will appear with Him in glory.  Erase, then, your any affinity toward the flawed programs that include immorality, impurity, passion, evil desire, and the greed (for self-glorification) that is idolatry.  Stop lying, since you have erased the errors and have downloaded the New Program which is in the image of The Programmer.  The New Program does not distinguish between Greek, Jew, circumcised and uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian (Scythians, Catholic Fundamentalists believe, are the members of the Ten Tribes growing into the European & Indian people), slave, or free, but The Program is all and in all of those who download It.

Gospel
Luke
Chapter 12 13 1 Someone in the crowd said to him, "Teacher, tell my brother to share the inheritance with me." 14 He replied to him, "Friend, who appointed me as your judge and arbitrator?" 15 Then he said to the crowd, "Take care to guard against all greed, for though one may be rich, one's life does not consist of possessions." 16 Then he told them a parable. "There was a rich man whose land produced a bountiful harvest. 17 He asked himself, 'What shall I do, for I do not have space to store my harvest?' 18 And he said, 'This is what I shall do: I shall tear down my barns and build larger ones. There I shall store all my grain and other goods 19 and I shall say to myself, "Now as for you, you have so many good things stored up for many years, rest, eat, drink, be merry!" 20 But God said to him, 'You fool, this night your life will be demanded of you; and the things you have prepared, to whom will they belong?' 21 Thus will it be for the one who stores up treasure for himself but is not rich in what matters to God." 2

Catholic Fundamentalism Interpretation

Someone in the crowd said:  "Teacher, tell my brother to share the inheritance with me."  He replied, "Friend, (since he admitted Christ's authority, he was a "friend".) who appointed me as your judge and arbitrator?"  Then, He said to the crowd, "Take care to guard against all greed.  Even if you are rich, your life does not consist of programmed items."  He told them a parable: "There was a rich landowner who had a bountiful harvest.  He asked himself, "What shall I do, for I don't have space to store what I have?"  And, he said, "This is the program I shall write.  I'll tear down my barns and build bigger ones.  Then, I will store all my grain and other goods and say to myself, 'Now, as for you (since he was programming his activities, he had reduced himself to part of his own program), you have so many good things stored up for many years, rest, eat, drink, and be merry.'"  But, The Programmer said to him, "You fool, this night your human program is being erased.  Who will own the things you have prepared?"

Thus it will be for all who spend their lives programming riches for themselves but are not rich in what matters to The Programmer.

(The Programmer wants us to love our neighbors, not enrich ourselves with the goal of not having to contribute any longer.  Excessive pensions must be, in this light, seen as a danger, distracting many from more important things and trapping many in damnable activities.)
