PRAYERS OF THE ROSARY

THE SIGN OF THE CROSS:
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen

APOSTLES CREED:

I believe in God the Father Almighty, Creator of heaven and earth; and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried. He descended into hell; the third day He arose again from the dead. He ascended into heaven, sits at the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence He shall come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Holy Catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body and life everlasting. Amen

OUR FATHER:
Our Father, Who art in heaven, hallowed by Thy name; Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen

HAIL MARY:

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee; blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen

GLORY BE:
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen

O, MY JESUS:
O my Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of hell, and lead all souls to Heaven, especially those in most need of They Mercy. Amen.

Mysteries:

The Rosary is divided into five holy mysteries, which we should memorize and meditate on when saying The Rosary.

On Monday and Saturday, we say the Five Joyful Mysteries, one decade

(ten Hail Marys) for each Mystery.

The first Joyful Mystery is the Annunciation.  The second Joyful Mystery is the Visitation.  The third is The Nativity.  Fourth is the Presentation in the Temple.  The fifth Joyful Mystery is the Finding in the Temple.  AVNPF is one acronym to make remembering easier.

Tuesday and Friday are reserved for the Five Sorrowful Mysteries.  The first Sorrowful Mystery is The Agony in the Garden.  That is followed by The Scourging at the Pillar.  Then, The Crowning of Thorns, The Carrying of the Cross, and, finally, The Crucifixation.  An acronym to help remember is ASCCC.

We say the new Luminous Mysteries on Thursday.  The first Luminous Mystery is The Baptism in the Jordan.  That is followed by The Turning of Water into Wine.  Then, The Proclamation of The Kingdom.  The last two Luminous Mysteries are The Transfiguration and The Last Supper.

BTPTL is one way to remember.

The Glorious Mysteries are prayed on Wednesday and Friday.  The First Glorious Mystery is The Resurrection.  Then, The Ascension.  That's followed by The Descent of the Holy Spirit, The Assumption of Mary, and, finally, The Crowning of Mary. A handy acronym is RADAC.
