                                                                   Children of Abraham?

    Catholic Fundamentalists believe that many Eurasians are descended from Abraham.  Further, we believe that most Europeans are descended from Sarah, whom we have long believed to have been history's first "blonde bombshell" (See Feb. 3 posting!).  Maps like this show where the children she had with Abraham predominate: 

     The great battles between peoples in this region have long been between the different tribes claiming Abraham as their father.  Those in the Southwest corner of the map are descended from Abraham through Ishmael.  Those to the North and West tend to come from Isaac and Jacob, though there are many descended from Abraham's other wives.

     When Abraham died, the only sons recorded to have come to the funeral were Isaac and Ishmael.  Their descendants, and those descended from Abraham through mothers other than Hagar and Sarah, migrated throughout the entire area of this map.  As the C-shaped section at the Southern end of the Caspian sea indicates, Abraham and Sarah's children stretched Eastwards into Asia.

     Ishmaelites, now carrying the banner of the Crescent and Star, have infiltrated the northwest to such an extent that the map's frequencies of light eyes are no longer accurate.  Isaac's sons have the great misfortune to be ruled by governments temporarily subverted by bribes generously paid by the sons of Ishmael in order to facilitate their invasions.  Every recent activity of their own governments has been carefully designed to destroy them.  

     But, the situation is still nowhere near as dire for Jacob's sons as when more overt invasions were brought to a stop by Charles Martel in France in 732, and, 950 years later, in 1683, by Sobieski at the Gates of Vienna. 

     As long as the teeming minions of the even farther East, the sons of Japheth, can keep the children of Shem through Abraham, Ishmael and Isaac, fighting amongst ourselves, they, the distant enemy, will continue to wax while we wane.

                                                From Trinitarian disputes to Global Warming.

     No theological concept has caused as much discord among the scattered tribes of Jacob as The Trinity.  Different ideas about The Trinity have long been used as an excuse to divide the Orthodox Churches from the Roman Catholic Church. 

     Political power naturally followed whatever Trinitarian Doctrine could be established.  That's why ambitious politicians from Theodosius to Cromwell were quick to use different ideas about The Trinity as an excuse to foment transfers of political power to their advantage.

     As the big split between Roman and Greek Churches was accomplished, differing ideas about Trinity separated the Tribes who'd moved into the Western part Europe.  Trinitarian and non-Trinitarian doctrines have divided Catholics from many Protestants who eschew the notion of The Trinity.

     Among the first to abhor the idea of The Trinity was Arius.  His theology split the Arian Christians from the Roman Catholics in the early centuries of The Church.  The Arians resurfaced as Puritans.  During Cromwell's "Protectorate", they ruled England.  The Puritans then turned into Unitarians.  Today, they have become Environmentalists, as always, replacing the idea of worshipping The Holy Trinity of Father, Son, and Holy Spirit with whatever raises the most taxes.

     We can improve our knowledge of The Trinity by projecting from ourselves.  We all know that one man may be a father, a son, and a husband.  He is one person who, at one time, may have three aspects of himself.  We also know that a human being who programs is, in a sense, programmer, program, and living connection between the two.

     The modern Trinitarian may extrapolate from that.  God, The Programmer, is able to program in many dimensions.  The Program, as it is written, is what brought particles, structures, and beings into near-instantaneous existence.  A most complicated part of His Program is providing free will to the billions of human beings who interrelate with each other and their surroundings.  The Program is summed up in Jesus Christ, the Living Son (Living, Loving Program) of the Living, Loving Father (Programmer). 

     There is a necessary third component to the human programmer.  He cannot program unless he can relate to what he is programming.  That relationship, though invisible, is what makes it possible for humans to program.  The editing, re-writing, and changing of every human program requires an ongoing relationship between The Programmer and the Program. 

     In The Trinity, that relationship between The Programmer and Program is The Holy Wireless Connector.  Those three beings are as necessary in Heaven as they are to human programmers.  The fullness of God can only be seen if we understand that He operates as Programmer, Program, and Holy Wireless Connector.  Indeed, He MUST act as all three, Programmer, Program, and Holy Wireless Connector if He is to get anything done.

     The Programmer, which is usually how non-Trinitarians picture God, cannot be the loving Father if He does not have a Son.  That Son is, in a word, Christ.  He is The Program in perfect, loving, human form. 

     Just as a human-made program has an inseparable relationship with its programmer, so does God, The Programmer and God, The Program.   That connection is real.  It is as important on earth as it is in Heaven because without that relationship programmer and program, neither is able to function.

     Trinitarians properly understand that there is One God, and that He is most accurately understood as being comprised of Three Persons. 

     Catholic Fundamentalists think the Iron Age descriptions of Him as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are more readily comprehensible to modern people who utilize electron flows if we think, speak, and write of Him as The Programmer, The Program, and The Holy Wireless Connector.

                       Wow!  Not proof, but another indication that Catholic Fundamentalism is correct!

     As is periodically mentioned in these pages, Catholic Fundamentalists think that most Europeans are descended from Abraham, and that many of us Europeans come from Isaac, son of Abraham and Sarah, and the "lost tribes" of Jacob/Israel also descended from Sarah. 

     We also believe that Sarah was history's first "blonde bombshell", an absolutely stunning blue-eyed blonde, and have been saying so since the original publication of "Crats!" in 1993 introduced the ideas that would crystallize into Catholic Fundamentalism, the most interesting approach to The Roman Catholic Church since Pascal invented Probability Theory and applied it to choosing a religion.

One Common Ancestor Behind Blue Eyes

"People with blue eyes have a single, common ancestor, according to new research.

A team of scientists has tracked down a genetic mutation that leads to blue eyes. The mutation occurred between 6,000 and 10,000 years ago. Before then, there were no blue eyes.

"Originally, we all had brown eyes," said Hans Eiberg from the Department of Cellular and Molecular Medicine at the University of Copenhagen.

The mutation affected the so-called OCA2 gene, which is involved in the production of melanin, the pigment that gives color to our hair, eyes and skin.

"A genetic mutation affecting the OCA2 gene in our chromosomes resulted in the creation of a 'switch,' which literally 'turned off' the ability to produce brown eyes," Eiberg said.

The genetic switch is located in the gene adjacent to OCA2 and rather than completely turning off the gene, the switch limits its action, which reduces the production of melanin in the iris. In effect, the turned-down switch diluted brown eyes to blue.

If the OCA2 gene had been completely shut down, our hair, eyes and skin would be melanin-less, a condition known as albinism.

"It's exactly what I sort of expected to see from what we know about selection around this area," said John Hawks of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, referring to the study results regarding the OCA2 gene. Hawks was not involved in the current study.

Baby blues

Eiberg and his team examined DNA from mitochondria, the cells' energy-making structures, of blue-eyed individuals in countries including Jordan, Denmark and Turkey. This genetic material comes from females, so it can trace maternal lineages.

They specifically looked at sequences of DNA on the OCA2 gene and the genetic mutation associated with turning down melanin production.

Over the course of several generations, segments of ancestral DNA get shuffled so that individuals have varying sequences. Some of these segments, however, that haven't been reshuffled are called haplotypes. If a group of individuals shares long haplotypes, that means the sequence arose relatively recently in our human ancestors. The DNA sequence didn't have enough time to get mixed up.

"What they were able to show is that the people who have blue eyes in Denmark, as far as Jordan, these people all have this same haplotype, they all have exactly the same gene changes that are all linked to this one mutation that makes eyes blue," Hawks said in a telephone interview.

Melanin switch

The mutation is what regulates the OCA2 switch for melanin production. And depending on the amount of melanin in the iris, a person can end up with eye color ranging from brown to green. Brown-eyed individuals have considerable individual variation in the area of their DNA that controls melanin production. But they found that blue-eyed individuals only have a small degree of variation in the amount of melanin in their eyes. 

"Out of 800 persons we have only found one person which didn't fit — but his eye color was blue with a single brown spot," Eiberg told LiveScience, referring to the finding that blue-eyed individuals all had the same sequence of DNA linked with melanin production.

"From this we can conclude that all blue-eyed individuals are linked to the same ancestor," Eiberg said. "They have all inherited the same switch at exactly the same spot in their DNA." Eiberg and his colleagues detailed their study in the Jan. 3 online edition of the journal Human Genetics. 

That genetic switch somehow spread throughout Europe and now other parts of the world.

"The question really is, 'Why did we go from having nobody on Earth with blue eyes 10,000 years ago to having 20 or 40 percent of Europeans having blue eyes now?" Hawks said. "This gene does something good for people. It makes them have more kids."

     While the people who researched and produced this article probably don't share the Catholic Fundamentalist joy at discovering what we've been teaching for nearly 15 years, it is as if a little "intellectual manna" has fallen on our weary selves, strengthening us for the battles of faith and intellect ahead.

     Along the same lines, last year one of the Lie Committees complained about the lack of prison camps in Siberia.  "We need those camps to be opened up again!  They're a great place to send people who don't like what we're doing."  One of the Committee members, probably Dr. Dick Dudewell, suggested that EU countries should be able to rent the vacant camps and send their own dissidents and malcontents to them.  A month ago, it was discovered that a troubled German youth was, in fact, sent to an unused Siberian gulag, where he is now being "readjusted".   Many, many more will follow as European Government follows into the totalitarian hellhole toward which it is racing at top speed.

                                                               We're a little like cell phones.

     When a cell phone is opened, it lights up.  When someone asks us what we think about something, we light up.  We are happy to open up our minds to let others know what we think about things.

     Cell phones grow dim if their batteries aren't charged.

     If a cell phone's voice mail is full, no one can get through, even to leave an important message.  The resemblance is obvious.

     A cell phone left on too long won't work.

     Getting out of range of a cell tower keeps the phone from doing its job.  Getting too far away from God keeps us from doing our job.

     If we choose, a cell phone can be used to spread, or receive, harmful messages.

     A cell phone's tower knows who's calling, or being called, on its number.  Similarly, God knows who we're talking to, or about.  

     And, just as a cell phone may be tapped so that higher authorities can listen in, higher authorities hear everything we say.  And, think.

                                                                      An idol in the mirror.

     When we look in a mirror, we see what we spend too much time thinking about.  There is something in the being who's reflected that makes us think too much about him.  "I, I, I, Me." sums up a great deal of our thinking.

    "God, neighbor;  God, neighbor." is what saints say.  As we insert more "God and neighbor" into our concerns, we find the mirror is reflecting a better person, one about whom we aren't spending as much time thinking.

                                                          Seven viruses in our program.

     Pride is the most disruptive virus in our mind.  It makes us think excessively about ourselves.  When we catch ourselves thinking prideful thoughts about ourselves, it's important to recognize it quickly and channel our thoughts toward God.  That way, we starve the demonic virus of the energy the vile being needs to grow.

     Envy is the second-most powerful enemy within.  It makes us think about things we want, but don't need.  We deprive it of energy by changing our thoughts to generosity.  "I don't need a new car as much as a pro-life organization needs a donation." is the kind of thinking that weakens the virus of envy.

    Anger is not always easy to identify.   Long-term anger builds up within us, coloring much of what we think, say, and do.  Loving our neighbor neutralizes the virus of Anger.

    Sloth drags us into the uselessness the Other Side loves to see.  A deep breath, followed by activity, reduces its ability to make us ineffective.

     Greed always tries to convince us we should have more.  When we think of all we have accumulated as a result of greed, and how useless it all is, we can put greed in its place.

     Gluttony is greed writ large.  It will make us unattractive in every way to God and neighbor.  Giving things away shrivels up the demon of Greed within our CPU.  

     Lust elevates the importance of that section of the brain connected to the genitals.  Lust keeps many people from The Church.  "I am not a bad person, I just want to be able to titillate whatever pleasure centers I want when I want, and it's not right for The Church to say I can't do that."

                                                               Praying for our enemies.

     During the Christian persecutions of Licinius, in 320 B.C., the Forty Martyrs were frozen to death at Sebaste.  A warm bath house on the nearby shore of the frozen lake upon which the faithful Catholics lay freezing was provided to encourage them to renounce their Christian faith. 

     One of the forty freezing Catholics left the dying martyrs to avoid being frozen to death with his 39 comrades.  (It is written that he died as soon as he entered).  A guard was so impressed with the frozen and freezing martyrs that he left his post to join them, freezing to an agonizing death with them on the ice of the windy lake.

     Just as one of the 40 martys gave up his faith for life, so one of the persecutor's guards gained faith and saved his soul.

     The story helps us see that we should pray for those on the other side.  There are salvageable able souls among them.

                          When you discover that they hate you, and you will, don't let it get you down.

       As we get older, we understand that hatred and harm go together like horse and carriage.  All hatred is accompanied by the desire to harm.  

     It is sometimes astonishing, for instance, when young parents discover that their children are encouraged to engage in practices that will harm them.  Smarter parents are outraged to find that helpless children have their diets limited in calories, intentionally deprived of essential fat, and called "obese" if they are slightly more than skin and bones.

     When they find that such harm is intentionally inflicted in the name of some imaginary "good", many simply do not know what to do. 

     Praying for strength, wisdom, and the power to "do good to them who hurt you" is a start.  Asking grandma and grandpa what they think certainly helps to neutralize the effects of hateful, harmful people obsessed with the latest political correctness.

     Any news broadcast that says "be careful of . . ." or "watch out for . . ." is most likely a lie from the scare-mongers.  Checking the Lie Committee Readings on this site is a fun way to keep up with their never-ending flow of lies.

                               Why so many imaginary problems?  Our governments hate us.

    American and European citizens are the target for thousands of government scams masquerading as "solutions to problems".

     All problems are caused by government agencies looking for some way to be meaningful.  The status quo is their perpetual target.  Something must be found wrong with everything. 

     Nutritional "problems" are always popular.  Now, it's been found that people with too little blood sugar die more quickly.  Same with too little salt.  Thin people die sooner than the moderately overweight.  Lack of sunshine causes medical problems.  But, sugar, salt, fat, and sunshine have all been blamed by government agencies with nothing to do but attack the status quo.

     Environmental "problems" are invariably transformed into draconian legislation.   There have been no real problems found with any environmental "problems", except one mercury processing plant in Japan that pumped dangerous chemicals into the ocean and an occasional asbestos factory.   But, without making "problems" into "dangers", no environmental organization could survive.

     Crime "problems" are incessantly manufactured.  Most crime is caused by drug addicts desperate to feed their addiction.  Putting these poor souls in jail provides bigger budgets for law enforcement agencies.

     Energy "problems" are all caused by government laws and regulations that make it impossible to drill new oil and gas wells, mine more coal, and build more nuclear reactors.  As a result of bribes from oil-producers, governments focus on things that can't work.  Bio-fuels and windmills are prime examples of money spent on things that can't work.

     Our first duty is to be "as cunning as snakes" in understanding that the poor souls who labor mightily to destroy us sincerely believe they have no other way to make a living than by taking money from their neighbors.

     Then, while working where we can to elect better people, an increasing impossibility as those who fight against stealing from us are effectively branded "radicals", we have to pray for those who steal.  While we may not be able to help them get into Heaven, it will certainly help us to do so.

                                                                     Cleansing the mind.

     Catholic Fundamentalism is like a mental purgative.  With it, polluted thoughts are blown from our minds.  When we see that God is "The Unprogrammed Programmer", and that He programmed particles, compiled them into structures and beings, and among those beings, provided free will, everything makes sense.

     And, it's simple.  After exploring Catholic Fundamentalism for awhile, one may reasonably conclude:  "Catholic Fundamentalism ties Scripture and science together better than any other view of the world.  It supports The Church, Scripture, and describes human motives so well that I've stopped hating my poor, tax-addicted neighbors for stealing from us, killing us, and making our lives miserable.  Catholic Fundamentalism helps me understand God's power and how important it is for my own eternal well-being to love my neighbor."

                                                         Let's all pray for Al Gore's soul.

     No one has embraced as many Global Warming lies as Mr. Gore.  No one has spread those lies more enthusiastically.  And, no one has made as much money from those lies as has Mr. Gore.

     If Dante were to write "The Inferno" today, he would have poor Mr. Gore's soul somewhere in the 8th Circle.  That's where the souls of those who participated in "Complex Frauds" spend eternity being ruthlessly tortured.

     Reason, logic, and facts mean nothing to Mr. Gore.  The only possible lifeline that can pull his soul up from the depths of intellectual depravity is if enough of us pray that the love of truth will enter his mind and drive out the demons that drive him to deceive.

     "Dear God, please save Al Gore's soul!" is something that every Catholic Fundamentalist should say every time we hear him tell another lie.

                                                        The more things change, .  .  .

     Senator McCain seems to have the Republican nomination sewed up.  Proof of that was on TV when the usual "anointed leader" show about his life aired on Public Television.  Months had been spent making this program, which included family movies of his youth, pictures of his first car, and all the reminiscences that a carefully selected group of early friends could remember.

     The same night, similar films about the goodness and wisdom of both Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama were broadcast.  All three subjects were glorified endlessly for about an hour apiece.

     This same thing happens every time the field beasts have to get used to a new hand behind the plow we pull.

     Sometimes, we can see reruns of the programs the BBC broadcast when Elizabeth was crowned in the early fifties.  Those shows are almost exactly the same in tone, verbiage, and footage as those just shown that featured McCain, Clinton, and Obama.

     The names have changed.  The annointing of the leader is the same.

                                             The Other Side is unable to see causes and effects.

     The Vast Global Warming Lies are the tip of a huge iceberg.  Beneath the surface, countless thousands of professional liars are busy, busy, busy.  They're beavering away to make Global Warming seem a monumental problem that can only be solved by bigger government, higher taxes, and more regulations.

     It's wonderful to watch, because we can see their lies shot down almost as soon as they're told.  We've been told, for instance, that increased CO2 causes Global Warming.  CO2 has been rising, and temperatures have been falling.

     Also falling is energy received from the sun.  Record cold and snow all over the world, along with last month ranking as the second coldest January in 15 years shows that the world is actually cooling.

     Those who've embraced lies are unable to see that earth's temperature fluctuates along with solar output.  Just as they have ignored their own rationality so badly that they're unable to see that the sun causes Earth's temperature to change, they cannot understand that God is the cause of Creation.

     Even the Catholic Fundamentalist approach, that "The Unprogrammed Programmer programs three dimensional particles, compiles them into structures and beings, some of which have free will, and has them move through time." can't get through to them.

     They who cannot even see the power of the sun prefer the intellectual idols of their vain minds to recognizing the power of The Programmer.

                     The Climate Fraud Cycle is similar to both the Fox/Rabbit Cycle and the Sunspot Cycle. 

    The three peaks above represent three 11 year solar cycles.  The last cycle is the red one.  As can be seen, the cycle ended a few months ago.  The high peaks represent the maximum solar output.

     The black line on the little graph on the right should be connected with the right hand end of the red line to see where we are now.  As is obvious to everyone except those in the Climate Fraud Cycle, there has been no increase of solar output since the end of Solar Cycle 23. 

     That means the earth is receiving less heat than it did a few years ago, when the red line on the upper graph was vastly higher than it is now.

     Today, we see record cold temperatures over much of the world.  Glaciers have stopped melting, the frequently thawed arctic is refreezing, Antarctic ice is at a record high, and the northern hemisphere snow pack is larger than ever.

     Back at the beginning of Solar Cycle 23, the Climate Fraud people who are now moaning about Global Warming were worried to death about Global Freezing.

    The Climate Fraud Cycle is similar to the 11 year Sunspot Cycle, (more sunspots = more solar output = more heat on all planets) which vaguely tracks the famous Fox/Rabbit Cycle shown below.  Foxes multiply and eat lots of rabbits, then there's less food, so foxes disappear, which causes resurgence of rabbits.  Then, foxes have more to eat, so they multiply again, while rabbits disappear.

     The Climate Fraud Cycle starts when the Solar Cycle makes things warm, and Global Warming Liars emerge.  Then, the Solar Cycle starts to emit less energy, and the Global Freezing Liars emerge.  Since both groups are intellectually less able to respond to reality as quickly as either foxes or rabbits, their cycle, like their minds, is somewhat slower and more erratic.

                                                 Employment evolved from food to fear.

     Once, agriculture employed 95% of all workers.  As ever-larger tractors pulled ever-wider attachments, the number of agricultural workers dropped to a current 2% of all employed people.

     Those displaced moved rapidly into manufacturing.  Manufacturing industries, in turn, were first automated, and later outsourced.  As a result, far fewer manufacturing employees were needed.

     Those jobs were replaced with work in various "service industries".  Today, in Great Britain, about 22% of the people are employed in "financial services". 

     Tall skyscrapers full of people pushing paper and electrons have replaced huge, horizontal buildings that were once full of bustling workers who moved, changed, and fastened metals, plastics, wood, sand, and stone.   Today, the "service jobs" are being automated and outsourced.

     New interests will absorb the increasing number of "excess" service workers.  The newest "growth industry" is fear.  The fastest growing sections of medicine, law, accounting, diet, chemistry, energy, transportation, education, communications, and the environment are those devoted to making people so afraid of one thing or another that money can be gotten from them.

     Every country, at every stage of its development, has workers being moved from old occupations to new ones.  "I just don't know where it will all end.", say the easily depressed.  They say it often, and often grow attached to such emotions.

     Catholic Fundamentalists have a more cheerful point of view.  We see every shift in employment as an opportunity to be grateful to He Who Programmed All for giving us the opportunity to grow closer to Him.

                                                                           Cars.

     When automobiles were first invented, many legislators were reluctant to raise taxes for roads.  Those in the automobile industry whispered in many ears, "There will be much to tax!".  When that was understood, roads were quickly built, and the vast bureaucracies that regulate driver's licenses, inspections, insurance, toll roads, excise, sales, and fuel taxes, road maintenance, snow removal, parking, repair shops, law enforcement, and weigh scales were soon flourishing.

     Cars have become an indicator of political standing.  SUVs are driven by one type of driver.  Volvos, made by politically correct socialists in Sweden, are ever-popular with mid-level leftists.  Many Volvo drivers positively hate and despise SUVs.  There was great confusion in their minds when Volvo began to make and sell SUVs.

     Volvo's marketing experts were able to neutralize leftist ambivalence to their SUVs with an ad.  It portrayed the usual thin, sensitive-looking, "vitally concerned" couple on their way to or from a cocktail party where "important issues" weighed heavily.  They were driving down a dark, dangerous, winding road.  On the way, they stopped their Volvo, and saved a large turtle from what appeared to be certain death. 

     Volvo drivers, as they were meant to do, gave a collective sigh of relief, and thanked Gaia for letting Vovlo make an SUV so they, too, could save an occasional turtle.

                                                    Should Waterboarding be allowed?

     Many, mostly on the left, have been complaining about waterboarding, pretending to drown people to get information out of them. Waterboarding is said to be inhumane torture.

     Oddly, few of these people are against even the horrors, and inevitable deaths, caused by partial-birth abortions in their own nations.  But, some politicians are in a virtual frenzy about waterboarding.  Senator Reid, the Senate's Majority Leader, is, between real estate deals , vehemently opposed.    

     One question comes to mind:  If an intelligence agency had discovered that the suicide bombings of the World Trade Center were about to take place, and had captured someone who knew the plan's details, and that person refused to divulge any information, should waterboarding have been used to elicit the information that would have saved several thousand lives from agonizing deaths?

     Another reasonable question:  In other countries, extremists have killed many simply for being Catholic, Jewish, women, professors, teachers, journalists, or homosexual.  If, unknowingly, you had said or done something that caused you to be declared "an enemy of the one, true religion", and extremists planned to use you to "set an example", would you really mind if one of those suspected murderers were waterboarded to tell when and where you were to be attacked?

     Or, would you rather that you and your family were blown to bits?

                                               The seamless garment, a fashion statement.

     Twenty years ago, it was popular for liberals to argue with their conservative, anti-abortion, brethren:  "If you are truly pro-life, you must also be against state-sponsored executions.  These issues are a seamless garment." 

     Christ, it will be remembered, was wearing a 'seamless garment' at the Crucifixion, so this was, bizarrely, ascribed to the consistency that every non-liberal was expected to exhibit, as well.

     Lots and lots of ink (this was before blogs and websites) was spilled to analyze this issue.  It's a wonderful example of how leftists can avoid thinking about their own flaws because of "errors" they are able to find in other people. 

     "After all, if you are not wearing 'the seamless garment', you cannot be saved, so it's certainly not reasonable for me to try to be better." makes about as much sense as "You cannot look good unless you're wearing cashmere."

     The insecure, upon hearing that last sentence, will rush to buy cashmere.  On hearing the former, they became less appalled by abortion.   Many leftists were formerly pro-life.  When the Culture of Death came to predominate, they joined it.

     They only have eternity to regret that decision, but they're fashionably dressed in the short term.

                                                                       Bush-hating.

     Bush-hating has become an important part of many lives.  Before that, Reagan-hating was popular, though not enough to totally replace the ever-popular Nixon-hating.  Unlike previous targets of hate, today's Bush-haters are more obvious because of the internet.

     His every word and act is pilloried.  Those who have embraced hating him find it impossible to see any good in Mr. Bush.

     Bush-hating is particularly inexplicable.  He has caved in to the leftist demands for more spending in health, welfare, and education.  Under Bush, government spending has grown even beyond Clinton's.  He has opened the borders, an eternal leftist dream.   At this moment, Mr. Bush is even in the process of doing what every leftist loves, sending free money to everyone in a massive, if useless, redistribution of income.  "Never enough!" reply the haters.

     There are common denominators among those who hate him.  First, most of them do not mind if small children are killed by abortionists.  At the same time, they "are very worried about the world our children will inherit".  Most are "extremely concerned about global warming".  They spend a lot of energy considering "the well-being of the planet".   Malaria kills three or four million poor, dark-skinned people a year.  It was nearly wiped out by DDT, which, leftists say must not be used "because we're concerned about what may happen". 

     In three words, many haters are, often unknowingly, in the Culture of Death.

     Some Bush-haters have one redeeming characteristic.  They want to be thought of as intelligent, correct, and sensitive.  They want to let others know that "I have Very Important and Very Correct Opinions about The Way Things Should Be."  Some have gotten into the habit of elevating themselves by demeaning others:

    "Bush is just dumb."  ("Therefore, I am smart.")

    "Bush is really dumb."  (Therefore, I am really smart.")

    "Bush can't do anything right."  (Therefore, I must be right if I disagree with him.")

    "Bush just doesn't care about important things."  ("Therefore, I care about important things.")

    "Bush is an insensitive clod."  (Therefore, I have to be a sensitive human being.")

     The very process of demeaning becomes self-elevating.  For the most unfortunate among them, insulting others soon becomes an integral part of the process by which they evaluate their own self-worth, leading to one of the most unfortunate conclusions of all:  "I must hate certain people and everything they do in order to feel good about myself.  I must hate them even more to feel better about myself."  Soon, haters find themselves in the company of those even more adept at hating, and sink ever farther from the notion that we should love both God and neighbors.  All our neighbors, (among whom, of course, is Mr. Bush).  Indeed, those who do not share and nourish the hatred become hated, as well, and the gulf between the self and love grows wider.

     Hopefully, the gap will not become unbridgeable, or the soul is lost.  The Devil rejoices, for he knows that hatred will lead to destruction.  He was the one who inspired Lenin to say, "The essence of Communism is hatred."

     It begins at home.

                                                                      A "new" day.

     For several months, I have been re-reading the Book of Revelations.  It takes about an hour to read it, and a lifetime to think about it.  So far, I have not found a convincing case as to its meaning . 

     I have twice read Isaac Newton's vast commentaries (certainly the most learned) on Revelations, as well as the writings of a half-dozen other sincere men (women seem strangely absent from those trying to understand Revelations) who have spent years trying to fathom it.

     One thing is obvious, most of the interpreters have an agenda, usually pushing one Protestant denomination or another.  Many of them are anti-Catholic.  Aside from that, there is often some truth in many of the details they have uncovered. 

     Coming from Catholic Fundamentalism, whose positions on everything are, of course, always right, (and, stop that snickering, you, there, in the front row!), it seemed that nothing could be more worthwhile than to try to understand Revelations in light of the fact that The Roman Catholic Church, still pro-life while most denominations around Her have sunk into the Culture of Death, could hardly be the evil that many of the early Protestant commentators made Her out to be in the Book of Revelations.

     Soon, my humble efforts will be available in a separate title on the heading of the site.  I hope that the thoughts that will appear there are worthwhile.  They will consider an odd idea of time.  All through Revelations, a "year" is translated to be a "day" or some other period of time.  I will begin one analysis with the thought that the time period The Programmer may have used as a "base-line" for a period of time is either 11 years or 22 years.

     Eleven years is an average solar cycle.  The solar cycle that follows has a reverse polarity, so one entire solar cycle is approximately 22 years.  This is made more complicated by the fact that some cycles can be as short as 9 years or as long as 14.  That makes things more challenging.   I look forward to incorporating that into the "timetable" that Revelations has posted for us travelers and see if Catholic Fundamentalism may succeed with the new, untried tool of a unit of time that determines much that happens on earth.

                                                             Who gave Cuba to Castro?

     Fifty years ago, air travel was beginning to take off.  More and more people went more and more places.  One popular destination was Cuba.  As the Godfather movies point out, Cuba was a very popular place.  It was about to become more so.

     Many Americans were thinking of buying beachfront property along Cuba's thousands of miles of undeveloped, reasonably priced coastlines.  Vacation homes were beginning to spring up, none of which would be paying any real estate taxes to support America's burgeoning bureaucracies.

     At the same time, builders and contractors in the United States were worried.  People could build far more cheaply in Cuba, buy more and better property for the same price, and some American businesses were relocating there.

     Flying to Cuba only took a few minutes more than a flight to Miami.  And, since everything was cheaper, large hotels were being built, and being filled, with American tourists.  The Batista Government was corrupt enough to be reliable.  The legal system, after four centuries of Spanish tradition, was reasonably sound, and, Cuba was becoming, in the minds of many Americans, a perfect place for home away from home.  A low-tax home away from home.

     Property owners in the United States were concerned.  Who would buy swampland from them at ten or twelve times the price of higher, more hurricane-proof, Cuban beachfront?

     The teachers' unions, whose members' incomes depended on property taxes, quickly got on board.  "We want all those vacation homes built all along the U.S. coast.  The people who will build them will pay us lots of property taxes, and won't have any children in the schools.  Our members' salaries can go up and up and up.", they reasoned with their usual zeal for more funding.

     Senators and Representatives from the Southern U.S. were worried.  The Southern Coast, after all, went from Virginia, down and around Florida, across Alabama and Mississippi, across Louisiana, and all along the Texas shoreline, clear to the Rio Grande.  There was half that much coastline on the Island of Cuba.  None of those states wanted to see their own real estate devalued by a far prettier coastline in a tax-haven fifteen minutes South of Miami.

     Sugar beet growers in the American West agreed.  "Our sugar beets will be worth more with no Cuban sugar destroying our markets.  If we do this right, we can get an embargo to keep Cuban sugar out of the United States."

     Owners of U.S. hotels and resorts didn't want Cuba to become a tourist mecca.  "We've got hotels, especially in Florida, that will be empty if people go to Cuba, where it's more reliably warmer than it is here.  Our investments could be devalued, if not lost."

     "The best way to protect our cash flows is to give Cuba to the Communists.", agreed all those willing to sell an entire population into what would become a huge prison camp. 

     So, Fidel, who could have been stopped with a Company of Marines, was allowed to take over Cuba.  U.S. assets were able to appreciate far more rapidly in value than would have otherwise been the case.  A few super-rich Americans were very happy.  Millions of impoverished Cubans saw their lives destroyed, but few have made the connections to understand just why their lives were made so miserable.

                                         Cuba wasn't the first country destroyed by the Super-Rich.

     At the turn of the last century, Russia, under the Czar, was on the brink of amazing expansion.  The Trans-Siberian Railroad had opened up the largest land mass on earth.  The settlements planned to follow were similar to the vast Westward movement of Americans filling the Continent as they moved towards California.

     Countless millions of Russian acres would be explored for mines and opened for farming.  Factories would follow.  Soon, Russia would not only be the largest, but also, the richest nation on the Eurasian land mass.  Its population would explode.

     The European super-rich had seen what America's earlier expansion had done to old countries.  European factories were unable to compete with American producers, partly because of the more modern machinery that new American manufacturers installed, and partly because transportation costs to the American market were lower for American industry.  Increasingly, the vast American industries were competing, and winning, the international battles for steel production, coal mining, utilization of electric power, communication, and transportation.

     The Czarist system made the new Russian competitor all the more dangerous.  Under the Czar, government was limited.  Compared to the swelling, stifling bureaucracies of Europe, the Russian government was vastly more efficient.  Both Russian government and industry to be destroyed if the European super-rich were to continue increasing their wealth.

     Super-rich Europeans knew that they could not withstand the competition from two colossal countries, the U. S. and Russia, churning out endless mineral, agricultural, and industrial products.  So, they sent Lenin to the Soviet Union.  With the financing provided by European billionaires, he was able to organize the angriest, bitterest, most maladjusted personalities he could find into a political/crime machine that would overthrow the Czarist Regime.  

     With armed gangs of murderers, rapists, and looters, led by vicious, low-level thugs like Stalin, Lenin was able to eliminate the Czar and his imprisoned family.  Then, he was able to stop, with guns and bayonets, the early attempts at a Democratic Government.  The threat that a free Russia posed to the European super-rich was eliminated.

     The installation of Fidel Castro as Cuba's leader removed a similar threat to the super-rich in America, and had the exactly the same, devastating effects on the Cuban people.

                                      Want some easy money?  Become a "Plastic Bag Demonizer".

     For decades, plastic bags have been demonized.  Endless complaints are made about them.  This may indicate that too many people have too much time on their hands, or, that the leading "Plastic Bag Demonizers" have figured out a way to make money from the makers and users of plastic bags.

     From an engineering, manufacturing, and customer point of view, plastic bags are a miracle.  They're light, strong, re-usable, and about one fourth the cost of a paper bag.  More importantly, they're waterproof.  That stops millions of inconvenient accidents that take place when the soaked bottom of a paper bag gives way, dropping the bag's contents to the floor or ground.  As an added plus, a person can carry far more groceries in plastic bags than in the one or two paper bags that most shoppers can handle.  Even the most rabid "Plastic Bag Demonizers" admits that plastic bags take up far less room in landfills.  From every standpoint, they're preferable.

     But, the "Plastic Bag Demonizers" are above concerns about cost, convenience, or anything except getting rid of plastic bags.  We get a hint as to the "Plastic Bag Demonizers" motives when we learn that an important leader of an environmental organization was recently hired by an organization representing plastic bag manufacturers.

     That means a deal is in the works.  The manufacturers have surrendered to their attackers.  They have agreed to pay dane geld to the environmentalists.  All that's necessary now is to work out the details.  The only sure thing is that we'll soon be regaled with news stories telling us that "The plastic bag crisis nears an end!" and that "Progress is being made solving the environmental problems caused by plastic bags."

     A fraction of a cent per plastic bag will be paid to "concerned environmentalists" by the plastic bag manufacturers to get them off their backs.  To pay that blackmail, the price of plastic bags will be increased. That increase will be blamed on "rising oil prices".  We will all pay more for plastic bags, and the enviro-blackmailers will have the funds to go after other manufacturers of useful, necessary products and extort money from them "To help the environment."

     Environmental pirates have done very well by attacking businesses that provide useful products.  Their ocean-going ancestors made a lot of money attacking commercial shipping.  Vikings did well in raids on defenseless farms and cities.  Things go on.

                                                        Towers of lies, some deep in the ground.

     Some of Babylon's buildings are stupefyingly impressive.  Once the environmentalists' lies switched from "global freezing" to the more solid sub-structure of "global warming", millions of lost souls have flocked to their banner.

     Funding opportunities seem endless.  One of the latest, and most potentially profitable, lies concerns "the need to sequester carbon dioxide underground".   This, we are assured, will "stop global warming".  No mention is made of temperature cycles that follow solar output, which is the cause of "climate change".  Such facts get in the way of funding, so are dropped down the memory hole.

     Pennsylvania environmentalists now want to use old coal mines "to sequester carbon dioxide".  No one knows how this will be done, but many grants will be granted to those who can come up with "ways to make the earth safe for future generations". 

     Consider:  It has been estimated that there are about 3.7 billion cubic miles of atmosphere.  Carbon dioxide represents .03% of that, so there are about 111,000,000 cubic miles of carbon dioxide in the air.

     To date, about 10,000,000,000 (ten billion) cubic yards of coal have been removed from Pennsylvania.  Most of that was strip-mined, but lets be charitable to the environmentalists, and say that half of it was taken from deep mines, whose tunnels remain behind.  So, there are a total of five billion cubic yards of mine space available to "sequester carbon dioxide" in underground mines.  There are 5,451,776,000 cubic yards in a cubic mile, so, at best, there's about 1.1 cubic miles of underground mine space available and 111,000,000 cubic miles of atmospheric carbon dioxide.

     So, there is enough room for a little over 1/110,000,000 (one one hundred and ten millionth!) of all the carbon dioxide in the atmosphere to be stored in Pennsylvania's unused mine tunnels.  If it's compressed, to hold maybe two or three ten millionths of the atmosphere's carbon dioxide, it will leak out.  Pennsylvania's coal mine fires can't be put out because air leaks in.  The same thing would happen, in reverse, to compressed carbon dioxide.

     It's hard to imagine anyone saying "that's a good idea!" with a straight face, and even harder to imagine that anyone could be that dumb.  But, it is easy to imagine Pennsylvania politicians and environmentalists jumping on a crashing bandwagon.

                                                                 The demons of fear.

     One gift provided by the Third Person in The Trinity, whom Catholic Fundamentalists call The Holy Wireless Connector, is Courage.  Another is Wisdom. 

     Demons hate to see Courage combined with Wisdom.  Their own comparable offerings are Fear and Irrationality.  Those "gifts" are greatly beloved by The Culture of Death and are responsible for much of its current success

     One Fear that the demons provide aplenty is the "Fear of Poverty".   The Culture of Death has made great progress by making public officials fear poverty enough to raise their salaries, benefits, and pensions far above those doled out to peons in the private sector. 

     A rapidly widening gulf separates the ever more prosperous members of the public sector from the increasingly impoverished people in the non-tax supported portion of the population.

     The Public Sector now attracts those who value personal gain more than "public service".   As the older, sometimes more idealistic, "public servants" are replaced by outright profiteers, the looting of taxpayers increases, and they and their families are inexorably destroyed even as their government promises to "keep on helping."

      As those in the private-sector slowly disappear, without being able to do anything about it, replaced by automation and off-shore labor, they are kept divided by the iron triangle of nit-picking laws, media control, and promises of rewards to those who toe the party line.  The possibility of improving the system with a "return to the old values" is laughably impossible without a Church that constantly reminds us that the Courage and Wisdom that take human form in Vows of Obedience, Chastity, and Poverty elevates the morality of any nation by making the Fearful and Irrational consider that the damage they do to their neighbors affects how their souls will spend eternity.

     Their main mistake:  they simply do not fear God as much as they fear being poor.

                                                               Ten years of reality.

     The Other Side has long-claimed that increasing carbon dioxide, which in the past ten years has gone all the way from 363 parts per million to 383 parts per million, is causing a "dangerous degree of Global Warming".

     Actual observations show what a gross lie that is.  Carbon dioxide levels have increased 6%.  Temperatures have gone down much more, on this scale from +.5 to -.05, a vastly larger decrease.

        This scale uses satellite temperatures.  They are free from the distortions so often occurring on land-based thermometers, many of which have been placed on asphalt, airport runways, and sewage treatment plants.  Their placement seems designed (wattsupwiththat.com) to artificially increase surface temperatures in order to "prove" the claims of Global Warming.

     Lies so blatantly obvious should motivate us to pray for those involved.  Their poor souls have embraced what Dante described as "complex frauds".  If they die in that state, they are eternally consigned to the 8th Circle of Hades, part of which is reserved for those who willingly cheat taxpayers with "complex frauds".

                                                                    Missing the target.

     One of the most fascinating religious processes is the ongoing production of various Protestant theologies and systems. 

     Some Protestant organizations came from political pressure.  The Lutherans and Anglicans typify religions produced by political authorities.   Rulers wanted to keep money from being sent out of their countries, thought they should control the appointment of bishops, and, in general, wanted to be in charge of everything.  So, a few of them invented and installed their own religions.  Often, they used the same titles and structures of The Catholic Church.  Great pressure was put on Catholics to convert to the new religions.  Many were able, in the soul-test of their times, to remain faithful.

     Other groups came from reaction to the state-approved Protestants.  These include the Quakers, Puritans, Methodists, and Presbyterians in England;  Baptists, Mennonites, and Calvinists on the Continent.

     Still other denomications came from a desire to obtain more direct political power.  The Moslems, largest of the Protestant religions, reduced Jesus to the status of a prophet to help their appeal among the Catholics in the many countries they conquered.  Their holiest book has a great deal in it about dividing up loot, enslaving, and controlling.  Parts of it are a manual for conquest.

     The United States was fertile ground for new religions.  Shakers, Mormons, Dispensationalists, and literally thousands of other groups were formed, each appealing to people with particular inclinations.  Individual tendencies were justified with what often appeared to be Christian ideas.  Countless millions wandered off, lost among the towering egos of their leaders.

     Denominations that believe in The Trinity are closest to God.  If the Roman Catholic Church is visualized as the center of a target, the Trinitarian denominations are in the circle around it.  Beyond that circle, chaos increases.

                                                              Pretending to care.

     Watching the building of structures built by "people who care" is more fun than bird-watching.  In recent history, "people who care" gave us huge, government structures based on the foundation of "caring" about Prohibition, Public Education, Social Security, Welfare, The War on Drugs,  Health Care, Global Freezing, Global Warming, Open Borders, Closed Borders, Cleaner Air, Cleaner Water, Cleaner Dirt, and countless bureaus and agencies that care about far more things than those.

     Each such structure begins with "A Problem".  "A Problem" is selected, and "the necessary research" is done to define the problem.  Then, press releases and TV segments begin to introduce people to the existence of "A Problem".

     A handful of people, maybe a dozen or so, are involved in the beginning of this process.  A few articles in the New York Times are quickly disseminated by the Ass'd. Press, which sends stories to two thousand newspapers.  These stories begin to appear, as if by magic, across the country.  Their very presence provides credibility.  Millions are made aware of A Problem.  Some Ass'd. Press releases are coded.  If a press release that says "Fat people get cancer" is coded, hypothetically, "A-1", then every newspaper is encouraged to print it the next day.  Less profitable releases may appear on a slower schedule.

     At the same time, talk shows, all of which feature people who have a reputation for being "concerned" and "active", are used to make the people unable to read aware of "A Problem".  Some of these skilled actors and actresses are respectfully called "activists", as if that means something more profound than having discovered a profitable sideline to augment income during slow periods in their careers.  They are able to appear very solemn and caring as they bring "A Problem" to life. 

     Then, "A Problem" becomes worthy of "solving".  "We have to do something about this.  Leading scientists (a gaggle of broken-down leftists unable to make a living by telling the truth) agree."  A few of these "leading scientists", often dressed in lab smocks or surgery greens, are paraded onto various shows, where they read carefully written scripts off teleprompters while nodding wisely with wide-eyed sincerity.  Those who still take such people seriously are sometimes persuaded to write legislators, make phone calls, tell others about the new dangers, and "get involved", frequently by making a "donation to this important cause".

     When "A Problem" has grown to this level, funding proposals are made to taxing authorities.  If successful, "A Problem" makes the subtle change to "The Problem".  "We need to regulate and/or tax all activities that may make 'The Problem' worse." 

     In a few months or years, depending on what urgency The Problem can be made to seem to have, funding is established.  Those involved in "The Problem" prefer to set up their own, new bureaucracy, hopefully with the much-envied "Cabinet Status" to handle "The Problem" in the most efficient way possible.  "Most efficient" means spending countless trillions of dollars.  Those with their own bureaucracies are able to approach those with taxing powers directly.  That, for those involved in such things, is the definition of heaven.

     This entire process would grind to a halt if two things happened: 

     First, we all stop caring about anything except taking care of our own families.  

     Secondly, we develop the wisdom and discipline to understand that everything that every "problem" we hear about is either created by those addicted to taxes or has been invented by them.

                                                             Anger management.

     Wisdom is one result of growing older.  As our minds absorb more and more of what's happening around us, we become of how many people are willing to tell lies to justify taking money from us.  Anger frequently results.  Property owners and renters are particularly susceptible.

     Property taxes go up every year.  In most school districts, there are ever-fewer children and more personnel.  Reductions are never made in spending, so the burden on owners and renters continually escalates.  When people become aware of how badly they are being ripped off, some become angry.

     There's no point in wasting energy.  As has been pointed out in previous columns, when automation and outsourcing jobs to cheap, offshore labor takes place, there are simply not enough jobs in manufacturing and agriculture to keep millions of people off the street.

     When we see that our purpose in life is to get our souls to Heaven, we also understand that we must not allow ourselves to be distracted by people who love material things so much that they will participate in a lie to get them.

     The little bits of pottage they are able to accumulate by living in a lie that has taken a powerful, structural form that allows tax money to be given to those within it in no way compensates for the endless agony that follows.

     Tomorrow, February 29, only comes every four years.  Thursday, February 29 only comes every 28 years.  We should make the most of it.  Ask The Programmer to help someone.

                                                                         Prozac

     Recently tests results were announced.  Researchers had given Prozac to a test group.  Another group was given a placebo.

     Both groups reported nearly identical states of well-being.  The conclusion was obvious, Prozac is a waste of money.  They makers of Prozac, and Prozac type drugs, did not want to lose the cash flows they had generated by combining a few cents worth of useless chemicals with marketing campaigns that had made them billions of dollars.

     For the past couple of days, press releases have magically appeared.  They tell us "Despite the results of a test that shows Prozac to be worthless, doctors and patients should not reduce the intake of Prozac."  These releases appeared in thousands of newspapers at the very same time.

     Some may conclude that the Ass'd. Press is working for large marketing firms.  The more perceptive may figure out that the Ass'd Press is a large marketing firm.  Regardless, it is not easy to avoid believing that the Ass'd. Press cares more about money than about people's well-being..

     We can learn about the credibility of all "news items" from this particularly obvious example.

                                                                               Fun

     The Global Warming lies are crumbling quickly.  Recently, world-wide temperatures have fallen to record cold levels.  That, directly related to reduced solar output, has exposed the fraud behind Global Warming.   In the past two months, years and years of cherished "Global Warming" have disappeared.

     Temperatures will stay low for years to come.  The heat stored in the Pacific Ocean has dropped.  That heat, the emission of which caused the warmer weather of the el nino a decade ago, is largely depleted.  Even when (if) the next solar cycle starts soon, and, over the next half-decade, warms things, much of that heat will sink into the vast Pacific.  When that heat emerges, so will the next round of Global Warming lies.

     In the meantime, we should take advantage of the plunging temperatures to tell as many as we can about how dumb the Imaginary Problem people actually are, in general, and how dumb the Global Warmers are, in particular.  To be fair, they may not be dumb.  They may be professional liars, twisting every occurrence into a profit opportunity. 

     To be totally fair, the large majority of those who think Global Warming is a man-made problem may not be dumb and may not be professional liars.  They may be Emotionally Handicapped.

     There is a mind set that actually likes, and is attracted to, problems that can be blamed on other people.  Those with this Emotional Handicap are especially fond of blaming rich people, or white people, or the universally hated "developers", or any successful people for anything that happens.  This particular type of Emotionally Handicapped person is quick to blame an endless list of things like junk food, second-hand smoke, air pollution, mercury, dirty water, etc. for every bad thing that happens.

     When presented with facts, like "Junk food provides a balanced, calorie-rich diet that's better for people than organic vegetables.", you can almost see their blood boil.  The same reaction may be obtained when explaining that second-hand smoke causes absolutely no discernable health problems; or that air pollution is largely gone; or that mercury is in the politically correct light bulbs they're so proud of themselves for buying; or that there's just not much dirty water left; many of them become visibly upset.  Often, they get angry.

     Telling them that the problems they have grown to cherish are not real problems is like kicking the crutch out from under a crippled person.  Just as the physically crippled person is angered when his prop is taken away, so do the Emotionally Handicapped react when the problems whose importance have become an important part of their personality are shown to be empty frauds.

     Saying to them "Boy, are you stupid!" is not the best approach to take when the monsters of their beloved fairy tales are shown not to exist.  Better to say, "It's too bad those liars in big government made so many good and decent people look so foolish by getting them to believe a lot of lies about Global Warming."

     That way, the Emotionally Handicapped , while not able to get rid of their need to hate something, can at least focus focus their beloved fears and hates on something that's actually fearful and hateful.

     It's a start.
