Bribes.
Bribes are used by special interests to get their own way. The snake bribed Eve with the promise to "become as God" to get her to do something wrong. Reading "Plutarch's Lives", one of the oldest classics, shows us example after example of bribing.
One constant source of bribes came from the Middle East. Persians have ever bribed Greeks, Romans, Russian, British, etc. leaders, and all the others have done the same thing.
There are several kinds of bribes. There are judicial bribes. Judges, clerks, and jurors are frequently purchased. They can give decisions profitable to the briber.
Legislative bribes obtain votes to influence laws, taxation, contracts, and regulation. Executive bribes do all that, and seek decisions for pardon, as well.
Bureau-bribing takes place at lower levels, but with more precise results. When money is to be transferred to a specific person or entity, people within the actual bureau are bribed. That kind of bribing is no harder to discover, since low-level bribe-takers spend a lot of their ill-gotten gains on obvious manifestations of vanity.
Military bribes are often offered. They are held to be reprehensible, and those involved, when caught, are often executed. Unless, of course, they are able to bribe their way out of danger. Or, unless the briber's side wins.
As governments begin to die from their own complexity, it's harder to find the decision maker who gave a contract to a special interest. In this period, bribes become so common that outrage about them is minimal.
Most decisions that appear to be "stupid", decisions that are obviously damaging to the nation, are the result of bribery. A perfect example is the lack of new nuclear reactors. Obviously, the only explanation is bribes from other power sources, most notably oil and coal. Bribes can come from any special interest, and can be taken by any public official, but it does appear that Democrats are more easily bribed than Republicans.
When we understand that bribes and bribe-takers are everywhere, it is hard to trust any public official.
Odd as it seems, both bribers and bribe-takers appear to follow rules. Once they make a deal, they honor it, unless a new bribe is offered that's vastly larger than the original purchase price. If the new bribe is vastly larger, the original briber may be called a "cheapskate", and accused of immorality.
The taker of the new bribe is praised as "looking out for himself", or "for Number One." The payer of the rejected bribe is entitled to get his bribe returned, but that may be delayed for many, many years.

Bribes, II.
One way to make bribes easier to find is to look for them at the end of careers. No public office-holder, for instance, should be wealthier when he leaves office than when he entered it. Such wealth is easy to discover. If found, such wealth should be confiscated and the former public official executed. That is the only way for bribery to be significantly reduced.
All office-holders say they are against bribery. One wonders why so few of them would vote to have confiscation and execution apply to bribe-takers.
The very best office-holders are those who leave public office with little more than they had when they entered it. If those people were to be awarded large sums of money on leaving public office, money obtained from confiscating the wealth of bribe-takers, we would have more good office holders and fewer bad ones.
As it is, we should all despise those who use public office for enrichment. Such people are the worst kind of liars and thieves. They make things worse for all of us while doing little but damning their own souls in the process.

Pennies become nickels. Dollars are made into cents.
Nations collapse because they levy excessive taxes and waste the money on useless things that provide no real benefit. In this process, their money automatically decreases in value.
The United States is, at least in the short term, utterly defiant of all economic laws. Recently, legislation had to be proposed to make it illegal for people to melt down, or to export, pennies and nickels to melt down for scrap which would then be sold and exchanged for paper dollars. This is one of the most bizarre monetary happenings in history.
The purchasing power of the dollar, which is made out of paper, goes down by half its value about every ten years.
The value of the metal in pennies and nickel is going up, sometimes at the rate of ten percent a year. Four pennies are now worth almost a nickel. Each nickel is worth nearly seven pennies.
If this continues, the value of a penny will eventually surpass the value of the same dollar that is, unbelievably, being claimed to be worth one hundred pennies. Today, a dollar is worth less than fifty 1990 pennies, and is only worth 12 and a half 1975 pennies.
In another ten years, the dollar will only be worth six 1975 pennies. Before that, the dollar and the penny will have reached parity.
No nation can survive such fiscal weirdness, but to coin collectors, it makes cents.

Weeding the garden. An ongoing, automated process.
We often run into people who have left the Catholic Church. One popular excuse involves the recent scandals. "I simply cannot go to a Church that allowed such awful things to occur."
The American Medical Association has child molesters within its ranks. The same people who leave the Roman Catholic Church over this issue, without a single moral qualm will go to a doctor to fix their bodies. They will go to lawyers, some of whom are corrupt, to handle legal problems. They will send children and grandchildren to public schools, despite the child molesters in Public Education, with nary a word, or thought, of protest.
There are criminals of all sorts in every occupation. Yet, only The Church is abandoned because a tiny percentage of its employees have engaged in perverted practices.
Catholic Fundamentalists tend to look on the bright side. We believe there is, hidden in the heartache and grief, something beneficial in The Church's recent scandals.
Sin among the clergy gives the self-righteous a marvelous excuse get out of going to Church. On the way out, you can hear them say, self-righteously, "Yes, I do realize that, just as a cracked pitcher can still pour water, a sinful priest's Sacraments are still valid. Still, The Church is no longer good enough for me."
Catholic Fundamentalists understand that the occasional sinful clergyman is merely a tool. With that tool, God weeds His garden of countless thousands whose souls have grown out of control; twisted with vanity, swollen with pride, sagging with laziness.
Is there a more efficient way than the occasional clergy scandal for God to rid Himself of multitudes of proud, vain, and lazy souls? Trying to find an easier way helps us understand how brilliant He is. He doesn't even have to spend time or energy getting rid of the weeds. They pull themselves up and throw themselves into the fire, even as they proudly proclaim to themselves and to all who will listen the lunacy that "I am basically a good person."
What a crock! In their pride, they forget Original Sin, and slide ever farther toward perdition after that.
God would rather hear, "Lord, be merciful to me, a sinner." than the insanity of "I am basically a good person." He prefers that we be obedient to Him, rather than not.
We should quake in terror at the thought that we may let our own self-righteousness lead us away from God and His Church.

We need to do more than obey. Obey cheerfully.
Free will is given to us so we can choose to believe in, and then obey, God. Or, we can choose to disbelieve and disobey. We either concern ourselves with the Programmer or with the things He programmed.
The first beings to be programmed with free will were angels. Some of them made very bad choices, just as people have since Eden. Free will is, when looked at in light of all the beings who have been punished for misusing it, frightening.
Ten Commandments were provided to tell us what NOT to do. As bitter people are always discovering, it is possible to obey every single commandment and hate both God and neighbor. Obedience and love do not necessarily go together.
We've all dealt with people who say, "I'll do that because I have to, and I'll do it right, but I don't want to do it, and I don't want to stop letting people know that I don't want to do it, because, frankly, I don't want to do it. It is important for me to let people know that."
God, frankly, got sick and tired of resentful obedience. He still is. Human beings, whether co-workers or supervisors, get tired of such people, too.
One thing, that we rarely are allowed to hear about, has to do with rich people who move into convents and monasteries. There, they do hard, manual work. There, they have to love God. And, their neighbor.
That, all by itself, is one sign of the reality of God's Kingdom that no one can ignore. Mr. or Mrs. Gotrocks, who never had to lift a finger to do anything for anyone, suddenly scrubbing floors and liking it.
Cheerfulness, then, seems to be almost as important as obedience in the Kingdom of God.
It is impossible to love our neighbor without being cheerful. It's just as impossible to be cheerful without loving our neighbor.

The Celestial Art Contest: Spider legs win!
The angelic sub-programmers who helped program everything in Creation had a wonderful time. Programming three dimensional structures was a joy beyond the words that barely describe it. Programming creativity poured out by the galaxiesful.
Each and every thing in Creation, from galaxy to diatom, had to be programmed with a design, structure, and function within larger programs to let us choose to believe that any given part of The Program appeared by design or by accident.
The Angels of Movement had a wonderful time. First, the Basics, flows and parts, were established. Then, the real joy of creation began. Earth, air, fire, and water had to be programmed in interrelating ways that allowed power to sustain life forces that could replicate.
From the huge tails of whales and the tree-like legs of dinosaurs and elephants to microscopic flagella, things had to move.
There were angels responsible for insects, mammals, fish, reptiles, and birds. Movements became extraordinarily complex and miraculously simple. Wings, feet, scales, fins, toes, heels, arches, callusing skin, hair, claws, nails, pads, and muscled joints all had to be programmed in three dimensions.
The angel who designed the legs for the spider known as "daddy longlegs" did one of the most impressive jobs in all the programming that made all Creation.
One cannot also help but be impressed by the legs that launch grasshoppers so many body lengths into the air. One wonders if that designer was also assigned to design kangaroo propulsion.

Without Catholicism, lunacy.
We all live in a world filled with Endless Alarmism, one of the denominations in the religions embraced by the other side. Those who focus on the Programmer are struck by the inherent, utter lunacies of Endless Alarmism. "Global freezing" becomes "global warming" becomes "climate change" in the blinking of an eye.
Normal, healthy children are called "fat", and "fat" is said to be bad. But, the longest average life spans, found in Australia, where most people are "fat". Insanity ignores reality.
There is not one area in which lunacy has not made great strides. In Education, children learn less than ever at ever-growing costs. In the workplace, entry-level jobs are destroyed every time minimum wage is increased. In the home, costs are sky-rocketing as public water and sewer systems put ever-higher taxes on bathing, drinking, and using the toilet.
Law Enforcement now has more policemen, who have put more people in jail, than ever. Most are incarcerated for using or selling drugs that were perfectly legal a hundred years ago. As soon as the drug dealers are locked up, or dead, new crimes will be invented to maintain the vast number of jobs in the criminal "justice" system. One can that many in law enforcement believe that some new crimes, like public smoking, have to be invented to provide full employment. Big fines are always an incitement to more laws.
Agriculture is continually criticized. Rather than being thankful that fewer people are producing more, constant carping is directed at everything from seed genetics to farm animals that pass gas while digesting grass. Evil methane, you know. Insanity everywhere.
It's nothing new. But, in the old days, the Roman Catholic Church was telling people to tell the truth and love their neighbor. There was a balance. The reality of final judgment was clearer, and had a salutary effect on truth.
Now, people "want to find their own way." God, as He did when He gave our ancestors the king they wanted, and, later, allowed those kings to be replaced with the ancestral forms of Endless Alarmism, is allowing the world to get by, as it wishes, with less influence from The Church.
"God, we'd rather do it ourselves." egomaniacs say. He shrugs sadly, knowing that so many of His beloved children will be hurt, knowing that what He's really doing is giving them enough rope; rope which they will not only hang themselves, but also, by which they will be dangled over the flames forever.
Government, always a lunatic asylum, is controlled by the craziest of the inmates.
Cheer up. Things have been worse. And, things will get worse, again. And, they will get better. Our job? Love God. Love our neighbor. Tell the truth. Do nothing to support the loons in their unending battle against life, truth, common sense, and The Church, whose doorway to salvation remains open to all.

Test of faith.
Many of us have read about the vicious attempts that English Protestants made to get nearby Catholics to leave The Church. The agonizing tortures suffered by the faithful defy description. It is a wonder that The Church survived.
Elizabeth, after destroying more Catholic institutions than her father, made it a crime just to be poor. With The Church gone, the poor had nowhere to turn but greater poverty and servitude, or death. Their disappearance, of course, was the desired goal.
Ireland's Church was attacked for the same reasons. Scotland's, too. A few Catholics fought back. Each attempt to gain freedom became another excuse for annihilation. Catholics abroad tried to use England's Catholics to foment revolution. Some were ready and willing. Most of them died for their efforts, and a few took others down with them, as the torturers extracted every last bit of information about their friends and allies.
Many, if not most, endured to the end. Each such person was a miracle. Each was rewarded with Heaven. Each day, we should think of them. Each day, we should try to endure. While enduring what they do to us and our brothers and sisters, we are to love our enemies. Fortunately, we can ask the martyrs for help in our own earthly struggles.
What a bizarre religion we have. What a gift it is. What a miracle it is that God has chosen each of us to merely endure to the end.

Today, the Oprah-herd hates trans-fat.
Being a Catholic is to stand on the rock and watch flocks of faddists racing blindly by. Each is like a herd of buffaloes, being driven toward a cliff by cunning Indians, for reasons of their own.
Carefully selected celebrities tell each herd what to believe and how to behave. Endless broadcasts show them what is worthy of applause. Wide-eyed, nodding, staring blankly, repeating what they are told, herds of poor lost souls are moved ever-closer to the cliff, often at a thundering gallop.
You and I are never allowed to address large numbers of any herd. Only skilled, trusted, experienced stampeders are allowed to address, for instance, the Oprah-herd about, for instance, the utterly imaginary "dangers of trans-fat". Others decide who will address the Democrat-herd, or the Environmental herd. Each herd has official spokesmen. Those positions are carefully reserved for those who will encourage others to join the herd, or to slightly change the direction of a herd, as from global warming to cooling.
Many of us think: "If I could address a herd, I could help them go in the right direction." The only ones allowed to address a herd are those who agree not to save it.
Every step the herd takes brings it closer to death. Every lie they are led to embrace blinds them to their danger. Every sin they are encouraged to commit causes them to gain speed as they move toward the cliff.
The buffaloes that go over the cliff to their death are punished, but not as much as those who sent them to destruction.

Programming Power.
As you know by now, Catholic Fundamentalists think that God has programming abilities that allow Him to program actual particles. Further, we believe He has the power to compile those programs into larger programs we know as structures and beings. And, some of His programs are able to replicate themselves. Out of all His earthly programs, human beings were given the most free will. The universe was programmed to provide them with this.
Many on the other side cannot accept these notions. Many do profess to believe in God. We ask them a simple, reasonable question: "Does God have the power to program particles?"
If they answer "No.", we politely point out that they have a view of God limited by their own abilities.
Should they answer "Yes.", we may ask them to consider that He did so in such a way as to produce the universe we see around us.
Some are able to grasp the concepts of Catholic Fundamentalism immediately. "So, that's how He did it!" they say, delighted to know that the total, absolute faith of them and their ancestors was not misplaced.

A true story of liberal heartlessness.
The other day, I was talking with an extremely liberal friend who gloated: "Finally, we have increased the minimum wage."
"I know the man who owns the factory up the road. He's trying to keep jobs in this country. His customers refused to pay more for his products. He couldn't afford those wages. He had to shut down machines and lay off thirty-five people. This is a rural area, and there aren't any other jobs. Now, the products are made in China. "
This is such a short entry because there was no answer from my liberal friend. But, later conversations confirmed that his faith in liberal ideals had not been shaken.

What Galileo saw with his telescope.
Galileo, like Copernicus, believed the planets revolved around the sun. He was confirmed in his belief that the planets orbited the sun when his telescope revealed that the moons of Jupiter went around that planet. "From one night to the next, I can actually see the moons of Jupiter moving around the planet. It is a miniature version of the planets going around the sun." he concluded.
He tried to explain the process to others. They would not listen to his arguments, so he would challenge them: "Just come over to my house and look through the telescope. You can see, as I have, that the moons of Jupiter are orbiting around it. They move the same way that we revolve around the sun."
Those with whom he argued would not look through his telescope. Again and again, they would refuse to look.
They would rarely say "No." Instead, they always said, "I'd like to, but I'm too busy, just now. Maybe, next week."
Like Galileo, Catholic Fundamentalists see that there is a remarkable tendency for each of us to stay with beliefs with which we are comfortable, rather than see for ourselves if they are right or wrong.
That is the most revealing thing that Galileo saw through his telescope.

So what if they destroyed education?
Ignorance helps tyranny. Those who cannot read, write, or do simple math are not able to defend themselves against the powerful forces the state levels against them.
Those able to do simple math find, for instance, that Social Security is among the worst of scams. Rather than change Social Security so that people can have more money, fans of big government prefer to make it impossible for most people to figure out what a massive theft it is. For that, and similar reasons, we have "new math".
Naive concerns about "improving education" are always welcome. Suggested "improvements" are a valuable tool in diverting people into the meaningless, hopeless activity of endless meetings and committees while allowing the perpetuation of ignorance to continue.
Catholic Fundamentalists are aware of this, and are not unduly disheartened. We understand that ignorance does free minds from a lot of contradictions. In fact, high school graduates are usually such "blank slates" that they can understand God's ability to program in three dimensions more quickly than those whose minds are more encumbered with the kind of "knowledge" that a state wants to impart.
They can quickly see the reality of The Trinity by picturing God as The Programmer. They can understand The Son as The Program, who, in human form, was the Perfect Program. The Holy Spirit, of course, is The Holy Wireless Connector, keeping us in contact with the Program and Programmer who love us and want the very best for us.
Open, uncluttered minds can read something as simple as "New Road to Rome", which is downloadable free in the "books" section of this site. They can understand how real God and His Church are with amazing speed. The second half of the book tells them the basic flows of history, moves of people and peoples toward, and away from, God.
Once they understand that, they are far ahead of high school graduates of past generations. Their elders did know much more, but nothing so important.

Plato's cave.
One of the most well-known remnants of Greek philosophy concerns the mass of people who lived in what Plato described as a "cave". Light came in through the entrance, and shadows were cast on the wall of the cave.
Most people looked at the shadows, and happily considered those shadows to be all there was. They would spend their lives talking about the shadows. An elite group that Plato called "philosophers" thought there was more to reality. They would look at the light, the source of the shadows, streaming through the entrance.
Catholic Fundamentalists agree, believing that those who look at the various programs are today's version of those who forever stare at shadows. The Programmer, to us, is the light coming into the cave.
Unlike Plato, we feel everyone is smart enough to focus on the Programmer than various programs. We also differ from him because we think that various moral and spiritual disorders are encouraged to get people to focus on the things that were programmed, rather than on the Programmer.

From Plato's cave to eternity in a cuspidor.
It is possible for a person to spend 100% of his life focused on imaginary issues. An average media day is filled with broadcasts of ink and electrons that we see as shadows on part of the wall. Sometimes, broadcasts have to report actual news. Each piece of real news is quickly surrounded by clouds of shadows.
The airplane wreck becomes an advertisement for more airport funding. The bank robbery becomes a reason for widespread surveillance cameras. The tragic vehicle wreck is spun into a justification for highway spending. An incident involving firearms becomes yet another brick in the wall of gun control. The latest report on declining test scores provides another excuse for more spending on public education. A soldier's death is twisted to show the futility of military expenditures.
Many have had their intellectual skills so damaged they are unable to separate real happenings from the subsequent demands for more money. The rest of us notice that media reporting will rarely, if ever, blame the person causing the problem. Instead, they blame a society whose greedy members are too concerned about their own well-being to pay more taxes.
People are endlessly encouraged from the earliest days in Public School not to be "selfish". We are taught that it is "enlightened" and "sensitive" to let experts take "just a little bit more" away from us to "solve" these "serious problems". Many of us are so easily taken into these "blame yourself" fantasies by skilled broadcasters and hired celebrities that we no longer think well enough to see how each truth is hidden by a cloud of self-serving lies.
Some are so wrapped up in lies that they become hostile when attempts are made to introduce truth into any such discussion. They have all learned to use words like "paranoid" and "radical" to describe those who have the intellectual ability to make disparaging comments about the way "news" is distorted to serve special interests.
Catholic Fundamentalists realize that those afraid to use their God-given abilities to think honestly and accurately about causes and effects are in danger of damnation. In their eagerness to please those around them, they become "luke-warm water". According to our future Judge, "The luke-warm water, I spit out of my mouth."
The best for which they can hope is eternity in a tepid cuspidor.

Fixes.
A hole-saw looks like a small section of a tin can with serrated teeth on the end that do the cutting. When we meet a vicious, mean person who is trying to hurt others, we should visualize a tiny hole saw.
"Dear, frustrated guardian angel of this angry man, please cut out the unhappiness within him." While praying, picture an angelic hole-saw, a thousandth of the diameter of a human hair, cutting away the bits of misery-causing hatefulness trapped within the unhappy mind. Such prayers usually help.
It's always tempting to pray for the death and destruction of individuals who want to hurt us.
And, when ranting, chanting, angry mobs threaten whole nations, it may be tempting to want them all dead.
Rather than wanting to slaughter them, pray that clouds of angelic hate-destroyers zoom into their minds to get rid of the evil within each one. Rather than saying, "God, please wipe these awful people off the face of the earth.", we can more profitably say, "God, please fix whatever makes them so mean and vicious."
If we could see how small most kernels of hatred are, we'd see that hate is nothing but teeny, tiny tangles of crossed wires and a burned-out, short-circuiting demon or so draped across the wires like clothes tossed over a clothesline.
One reason God has allowed angry individuals and rampaging mobs to exist, and has them shown on TV, is to let us see how we react. Will we ask God to annihilate them or ask Him to make them be better people?
If we find ourselves saying to Him "If You don't do the latter, will you please do the former?" we should spend more time in prayer so that we, ourselves, can do something to help solve the problem.

Words.
There are a few basic things that Catholic Fundamentalists, and, so far, no one else, understand very well. Words are among those things.
Catholic Fundamentalists realize that words are labels for programs. When God programmed something, or, more likely, had a glowing cloud of angels program it for Him, He gave it a word.
He programmed Adam with the ability to give names to programs. Words, from that day on, have been names for programs. Adam started out by giving names to God's programs, some of the first human words. He also had the ability to re-program some of those programs to fit his needs.
"Cow" is the name of God's program for "replicating provider of meat, milk, leather, and glue. "Holstein" is the name of a man-modified program that does some things better. "Milk stool" is the name of a man-made program.
The fullness of all the programs was, and, much to the eternal discomfort of non-believers, is, Jesus Christ. "In the beginning, was The Word. . ." sums up the relationship of you and I, individual human programs, with The Program in perfect, human form, that was there, in the beginning.
It is The Program, Himself, whose very being all who call themselves "Christian" try to not only emulate, but also, to download within our very selves.
Our greatest hope is that He'll think that we've tried hard enough.

Words, II.
Words are labels for programs. They are also the tools we use to connect with each other, with other programmed beings, and with The Programmer. When we speak to God, we use words.
When The Programmer speaks to us, He may use words. Or, He may, instead, have angels go directly into our minds and reprogram directly. He can bypass the word part of communication and go directly to the brain.
We all say "Help me, Lord!", or words to that effect, with surprising frequency. "Help me, Lord." often involves a request for information describing a future we are not normally able to foresee. We also read or listen to words that tell us about the past. So, words are also a type of "time machine", connecting us with what has happened, and evaluating what may.
It is difficult, but possible, to use words to change minds. If someone believes that hate helps one to get ahead, it's hard to convince that person to put love first. "Talk", as they say, "is cheap". But, loving that person, and communicating that love with self-sacrifice will do more to lead them to love.
If only actions weren't so hard and didn't take such a long time.
But, we can explain with words that there are more than trillions of years in eternity. We have, at most, only a few years left to determine where we spend a trillion decades.

The "Do-it-yourself Where do I Spend Eternity?" indicator.
Lenin said that "Hatred is the essence of Communism." Love, of course, is the essence of Christianity. The battle between love and hate is what life is about. Free will was programmed into existence so that each person, and every people, has to realize: "we pays our money, and we takes our choice".
Life and love go together just as death and hate. Abortion is the divide that tells us who's on which side. Picture a bell-curve. The pro-life people are on the right half. The pro-abortionists are on the left.
If we picture ourselves skiing down the bell curve from the mushy, lukewarm bulge in the middle, we go toward those who are more supportive of life and death. Mother Theresa is in the right hand corner of the bell curve. We may hope we get close to her.
Women like Margaret Sanger, Margaret Meade, Rachel Carson, Betty Freidan, Gloria Steiner, Jane Fonda, and their innumerable friends may be reached by skiing left, toward the most fanatic lovers of death. We know more of them by name because the love of being famous draws those who embrace the cause of death. Those closest to their leader are allowed to apportion earthly fame. It is not unrealistic to say that, many times, the earthly degree of fame is equivalent to the future degree of punishment.
If other sins are not dragging us down, the degree to which we support pro-life causes marks our place on the right side of the great, moral bell curve. Our position there is our place in God's eyes. Those who support organizations that favor and cause death, of course, go to that level of The Inferno that reflects their love of death.
Some Catholics say that "outside The Church, no one can be saved." Catholic Fundamentalists believe that "The faithful factions of The Roman Catholic Church have always fought for life and love. Her allies in the battle for life may share in some portion of His grace."

"Alas for you, scribes and hypocrites, . . "
This applies to all of us. We each have unresolved sins within that keep us from God. Often, we ignore them, always to our detriment.
But, scribes and hypocrites abound in the vast Church of the False Alarms.
One of their loudest denominations has been complaining with increasing intensity about the imaginary dangers of global warming. Another group in the choir goes on and on about the imaginary dangers of second-hand smoke. Still another sings endlessly about the horrors of "trans-fat".
Each day that they loudly pretend to be concerned about helping their neighbors, several thousand unborn babies are killed.
God notices.
Judgment awaits.
They, themselves, do not know what a mockery they have made of God's gift of rational thought. They are blind, yet, they say they see. Reaching them is hard. Trying to get through to them puts us in a risky position. Often, those who try to cure become infected with the disease they try to alleviate.
Father Damien, in trying to help the lepers, contracted the disease and died from it. We must be very careful not to be infected with the same spiritual blindness we try to cure.

Total replacement.
It is hard for us to replace every erroneous thought and theory with which our minds have been crippled, but it is possible. First, we look to The Church. Not to those whose distortions of Her teachings may be popular, but to the complete wholeness of what She has held.
Then, we look to Scripture.
When we are ready to consider that they have a broader, more accurate view of reality, we may profitably review the book downloadable elsewhere on this site, "New Road to Rome". In doing so, we see that reality, reason, and faith come together, all standing on the undeniable premise that "God has the ability to program in three dimensions."
Just as it is now medically possible to replace the very hips and knees on which we stand, so it is now intellectually possible to replace those broken, twisted philosophies, ideas, and histories which keep us from getting closer to The Programmer.
We begin by considering, and reading, of His ability to program in three dimensions.
Then, we tell others about the astonishing Church that brings simplicity and truth to a world based on profiting from complexity and fraud.

Sins, germs, and bribers.
Demons work to destroy our souls by encouraging us to sin. If we are far from God and His angels (Programmer and Sub-Programmers), they have an easier time. Each
unforgiven sin weakens our soul.
More obvious forces work to destroy our bodies. Bacteria and viruses, created to let us see three-dimensional versions of demons, attack us endlessly on countless fronts. When our body is weakened by sin or disorganization, germs make more headway.
Human organizations like companies and nations are destroyed by fiscal forms of corruption. Bribers destroy organizations as surely as some microbes hurt bodies and sin hurts souls.
Dante spoke of Hades as "dis". All those with an affinity for destruction, from sin to germ to bribe want to "dis" existing structures. Weak structures are more easily destroyed. That's why destroyers of souls, bodies, and groups endlessly work to weaken those they wish to destroy. They fill the media, eating away at God and truth as termites in houses.
Staying close to God helps. Over the long haul, it's about all that does.
